I like that these are inexpensive enough to include in my embroidery class kits.

These really worked well. I only knocked off one star for some minor defects like rough wood and really tight screwing mechanisms on some of the hoops (made some slightly hard to use). These did not affect my projects in anyway despite this. Overall a good buy if you need a bunch of the same size.

These will be perfect for our beginner craft group.

I made a whole bunch of Christmas gifts using this. They're nice and small, as I can only find 4inches in craft stores, so being 3 inches is much easier to make a lot of smaller gifts. I've only had one of these break, along the seam of the wood. But I didn't have issues with the other ones. There weren't any splinters that I'd found, either.
