Improvements available?
I have recently installed one of your new Wi-Fi enabled NVR recorders. CS-BW2424-B1U21I would like to provide you with some feedback and make a request for assistance with the product, possibly some software modifications. Before installing the system, I tried it out at home. The four cameras did a software update at the beginning. It was possible to observe this happening. Though when the updates were completed, the cameras regularly continued to check for updates. This clearly only needs to be done occasionally or on request from the user. This is putting an unnecessary load on the microprocessor, which I will deal with soon.I easily connected the NVR to the internet at home, though when I installed the unit at my client's home, I struggled to get it to connect. I rectified this at first by giving the NVR a static IP address. Though I then tried to get the NVR to send push notifications of movement outside. The unit would only send notifications of connection or disconnection to the internet. I tried for some time to find the cause of the problem. Only at the end of the day I put the recorder back to DHCP mode. The recorder them did connect to the internet and then the correct push notifications did go through. Why does the NVR fail to send push notifications in the static IP mode? This needs to be corrected. The cameras are recording well onto the system, the Wi-Fi connections working well in a 3-bedroom house. However, the live video viewing is causing some concern, from time to time a camera image will freeze, sometimes for up to 10 seconds. This causes the client to lose confidence in the products performance. It also then sends out a push notification of a camera lost problem, even though when checking the play back, the camera is working well.I made some improvements by reducing the frame rate to 8 frames a second, this hopefully reducing the load on the processor. Are there any suggestions you can make to improve performance? To stop the cameras live image freezing. Can you make a software adjustment to stop these unwanted push notifications please? We want to concentrate on only movement outside the property.I understand that this is a new product, are you able to provide a software update soon to improve performance? In principle this is the way forward for domestic CCTV applications and I am confident that this will be successful in the future.
