Perfect use for those old smoke detector 9v batteries. Why throw them away? Even though the beep indicated the battery was low, this will run for hours. They pop right on top of a 9v battery, and Presto! Gotta love it. These are extremely bright for what they are. Good quality and simple to use. Might save your life in a pinch even.

The lights work great. They would make great tent lights or for emergencies. However, you need to buy new batteries. One of the batteries was completely dead on arrival. Over all, great product and I ordered the other style as well.

I have several 9V batteries that I have taken out of my smoke detectors that still have plenty of power and have been looking for something to use them in. These lights are perfect. I use them all the time camping and keep one in my backpack as an emergency light. They have a switch that turns on just two LED bulbs or all six. Not a whole lot of difference between the two and the six as far as brightness, but running just the two bulbs makes the battery last a long time.
