changed back the formulation! sugar = 1 gram
they should probably list this as a separate product from the older 3-gram of sugar formulation, so that this product can have the good ratings it deserves. only 1 gram of sugar and tastes great! i actually prefer the crunchiness of this cereal to cheerios, and it's organic. yum!

1 gram sugar per serving
1 gram of sugar. Good organic option for toddlers and diabetics. Nice flavor.

Wishing for *organic* plain Cheerios? These are the best substitute I found so far.
As other reviewers have mentioned, these taste like a *slightly* saltier plain Cheerio. The salt is subtle. These are not fortified with vitamin and mineral powder, so you don't get that distinctive "oat+vitamins" Cheerios taste. That said, I quite like them. If you prefer to eat PLAIN Cheerios with sliced bananas or blueberries as your morning cereal (I use almond milk + whey powder for a low-lactose protein kick), then you'll like these.

Healthier alternative to Cheerios!
I'm so glad I've found a healthier alternative to Cheerios. My 18 month loves Cheerios but I wanted to find a healthier version. The new recipe is great. It only has 1 gram of sugar per serving and it no longer contains corn. Last year when I first tried it, it contained 3 grams of sugar per serving. I didn't like how sweet it tasted so I stopped buying it. Then I came across a review about the new recipe so I decided to research it. Seeing the new nutritional label here on Amazon, I decided to give it another try. Glad I did. Now my only complaint is it contains more sodium than Cheerios, hence the 4 stars rating. Cheerios has 160 grams while Cascadian Farms has 190 grams per servings. Ingredients: *Whole Grain Oats, *Whole Grain Barley, *Wheat Starch, *Malted Barley Extract, Sea Salt, *Oats, * Malted Barley, Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) * Organic Vitamins and Minerals: Calcium Carbonate, Zinc and Iron (mineral nutrients), A B Vitamin (niacinamide), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) A B Vitamin (folic acid)

Okay but not my preferred organic brand
I won't buy it again since I learned that Cascadian Farm donated lots of money to Monsanto's deceitful ads that confused California voters and kept the proposition to label GMO foods in California from being passed. Cascadian is probably owned by General Mills or some other big Agri-Business corporation, so they can't be trusted to care about the consumer's safety. I'd prefer to spend my money with organic brands that weren't TRAITORS during that campaign, organic brands that support the labeling of GMOs. Hopefully, the bill being prepared in Congress to require GMO labeling will pass (there are some politicians in Congress that appear to care what the wishes of the American people are), and it will be a moot point. But I still won't buy Cascadian Farm products again.

Amazon messes up this one.
I love this cereal, but the boxes shipped by amazon smelled with a loud perfume that was so strong that it actually permeated the deal. Not sure where Amazon was storing these, but they are totally worthless ... and not because of Cascadian Farm! This one is all on Amazon.

SUGAR?!
I AM SO PISSED OFF!! this used to be "purely o's", as in NO SUGAR and only wholesome ingredients. now? sugar and molasses and fillers! the VERY LEAST they could have done was written, "lightly sweetened" or some other sort of pseudo-honest marketing to let us know that they had changed their formula/recipe. instead, i order a carton of 4 boxes only to find that these are "purely crap"!!! no thanks Cascadian Farms! you can keep your new cereal that is no better than every other box of sweetened crap out there!
