Ade Advanced Optics Wall Plate and 30 Degree Angled Mount Combo for Nest Hello - White

I rated this product based on the quality of what I got, but I disagree with the person that said this is great for the Simplisafe doorbell. If you look at my image, there's no way that this doorbell can fit on this attachment. Besides the fact that the unit does not come with any instructions, it's clear that you are to attach the two parts, together, to the wall using long, funnel-head screws. As you can see by my picture, then you are supposed to screw the actual doorbell mount onto the pieces attached to the wall. Well, the bottom screw fits perfectly but there is no way to attach the top screw. If you try and use the screw that attaches the pieces to the wall to also attach the mounting bracket to the wall, the screw is (a) not long enough, and (b) would prevent the main doorbell from being attached because of the screw head sticking out at an angle. The only way you're using this bracket with the Simplisafe doorbell is to glue the top part of the doorbell mounting bracket to the unit attached to the wall (which I wouldn't recommend because you might need to remove it in the future). If the person that posted the picture of this working with the Simplisafe doorbell could let me know how they made it happen, I would probably buy this again just because of how well it's made and how sturdy it is! UPDATE: despite my own warning, I ended up using some LocTite glue on the top half of the Simplisafe mounting plate and not screwing it in. If you use a quality adhesive, it sets up within minutes, cures within hours, and works just like a screw. Once the doorbell is back on, it holds fast. I just hope I never have to take it off... :)

My doorbell was perpendicular to my door so I needed to find a mount that was angled so that the camera faced the street. The angled bracket can be used alone but I needed the wall plate to cover up existing holes from my ring camera mount. Works great!

Installed this for our house that needed an angle view from the prior doorbell. It’s functional, but looks ugly and cheap and that’s without the back frame installed. Going to look for something a little more attractive looking. In the interim it works, just not the aesthetic look we’re going for.

The shim-kit for our video doorbell arrived in a timely manner and was packaged well. Construction feels durable, not the cheap plastic of other products I've used. Backplate portion made for a finished and clean look on the doorbell and ensured it didn't look "patched together" to angle the video doorbell. Angle was perfect to get the image we are looking for. Installation only took a few minutes and all hardware was included with the product. I would recommend this product and will be looking into the company again with any similar needs.

I had a 90 degree doorbell angle that I needed to figure out how to mount my new Nest doorbell and was worried that this 30 degree mount won't be enough. Thankfully I was wrong. This 30 degree angle mount went on easy. You have to use the original Nest Doorbell metal mount/bracket that came with your original package, in order to get it to clip on. One lesson I learned about the Nest metal bracket is that there is an up and down on the bracket, which will effect it snapping on. On the metal mount/bracket the insert pin release hole goes on the bottom. Something that I did not notice on the original sticker that came with the Nest metal bracket. Also, the Nest wire extenders are needed with this, which worked out great for me. The original 15 degree bracket that came with the Nest did not have enough room for the extender clip. With this product, there is now enough space for the wire extenders. Great product. We will see over time how it will last against the elements.

The plastic is a weird, off white eggshell color which almost looks pink. Design is decent; however, the tolerances could certainly be better. I really had to hack this thing up with a Dremel and add some hardware in order to make it work with the Gen 2 wired doorbell. The color is so offputting that I spray painted it white to better match the actual doorbell device.

I had issues where the IR was causing my brick to illuminate at night and it caused halo effects in my image. This tilted the camera away enough for this to resolve the issue. This is clearly aftermarket though because my holes didn't line up perfectly. I wish the back wasn't rigid because this is mounted on angled trim, so I have a small gap behind. But overall, this solved my problem and I'm satisfied.
