Just Enough Research Paperback – January 1, 2013

This book was priced marked at $18 on the back of the book. And I used to wonder why readers are willing to pay over $40. After flipping through the book, it is obvious—it contains the most essential info/guidelines to perform researches for designs, and hit the goal! I, like everyone else who purchased this book, am keeping the book.

Does a terrific job of presenting an overview of user experience research while critiquing certain methods using real-world and hypothetical case studies. I power-read it over Thanksgiving as a recommendation for a job interview process, and was really happy I did.

I love this compact, well-written overview of the different types of research and how to approach/do. More academic researchers trying to navigate the politics and constraints of working in an applied setting can be more successful if they take Hall's advice to heart.There are also a lot of cool nuggets here that help me clearly and efficiently plan for & run studies. Great reference.

My edition of the book for some reason started with chapter 2 that ended abruptly and then the same chapter was repeated a second time :/ I hope the revision has been madeBook is great for beginners, but i hoped for more in depth material

Great book, really helps with real world advice on not only how to use research but to use it in a way to communicate to stakeholders.

This book is fantastic. I very much enjoyed reading this book, and learned a lot.

The way I used to approach research could be a different book called "way too much research that nobody has time for, including me." This book changed my life by changing the way I work. I no longer overwhelm myself with more information than I can process, synthesize, or even remember! I'm much more comfortable presenting research insights to stakeholders now, and I also feel more respected and seen as an expert. I don't inundate and overwhelm others when I'm trying to get their buy in -- that never worked for me, and now I'm actually getting the buy in I need.

I have no problem with the content once you figure it out. Seems like parts were repetitious and the book includes verbiage which I think didn't add much. Maybe it's just me.
