Small, solid and reliable. Bright for close work. Good value.
This is a great little flashlight. Bright for it's size but only a hair bigger than a Sharpie. I carry it all the time in my blazer or shirt pocket. I use it all the time. I also carry a 350 lumen Nitecore P10, but hardly ever use it now that I have the Brite Strike. I use it for illuminating the interior of cars, glove boxes, looking under furniture, in closets, any place a bit more light will be handy. It is much brighter than the cheapies. The Brite Strike is well-made, solid and uses easily found AAA batteries. The run time isn't all that good, (30 minutes on high) but I cannot see having to use this for 30 minutes at a time.3 settings: -Bright -Low (works for many applications) -Pulsing BrightFor the money and size, it is a good value. This isn't a cheap and crappy $5 convenience store item. It is a keeper. I bought 2, and have absolutely no regrets. SOTG recommended.

Second of these Lights I have ordered.
I have a few tactical flashlights. I like all of the ones I have ordered for myself (Although I have seen many cheaper ones that I have bought for others as gifts, at their request, and in my opinion you get what you pay for with tactical lights). The Bright Strike EPLI is an excellent light. Especially because it is not much bigger than a pen. --What this means for me is that it is extremely convenient for me to actually carry this light everyday. (My larger lights tend to stay at home, because they are not as easy to carry; i.e. they take more commitment to carry.) Bright, and excellent. I compared it to a "Preon" light (similar size etc.). The quality is not even close for the "Preon". I lost one of these lights (I have no idea how it got pulled out of my pocket while I was traveling, but it did [Maybe my seatbelt got caught on its clip as I was climbing out of vehicle]), and I did not even hesitate to purchase another. A little pricier than other options out there, but this thing is built like a tank, and has excellent ease of use, with killer lumen output for cheap little disposable batteries that it uses. Love it. My constant companion.

I've bought one for all my family
I like this so much I've given one to my wife and all three of my daughters. Unbelievable performance and brightness out of a pen light. It throws light better than most of your average full size lights. Perfect for purse or briefcase. Amazing how useful it is when you have one available and with you all the time. Very sturdy construction and runs on regular batteries so very easy to carry operate and maintain. Good value.

Best pocket light.
I have ownd almost every other brand of pen light on the market. I love the EPLI, in fact it's the sixth EPLI I have owned. The only reason why I keep buying so many is I lose them. I know my pic shows a broken pocket clip, my point is a quick email to customer service and she shipped me a new one. Nice work Brite strike.Pros.• Very bright. Almost too bright.• Multi mode Hi-Lo-Strobe.• Quality built.Cons:• Eats batteries (but that's what you get with AAA's amd 160 lumens.• The strobe function, I'd do without it. I have experienced times of a dark room full of people and I toggle through the modes only to land on the strobe and it causes unwanted attention.Overall a great well built light is the support to back it up.

When this flashlight worked it was fantastic. Very bright in such a small size
I have never wrote a review before. This just upset me so much that I felt a need to review this product. When this flashlight worked it was fantastic. Very bright in such a small size. I purchased this flashlight in March 2015 for $70. I know some people think that it is an unreasonable price, however when it worked I feel it was vary fair. Now that the flashlight lasted 20 months I feel as though I was taken advantage of. I have sent an email to Bright Strike to see if they will support there product.

Decent bright light but could have been better
I bought this as a lightning deal (20% discount) and even then it wasn't cheap. I have dozens of flashlights and custom build them as well so I am a bit jaded, but still feel there is room for some improvements that would not add to the manufacturing cost.On the plus side this light is plenty bright given the form factor and 2 X AAA cell solution. The finish seems durable but I haven't carried it long enough to judge fairly. The stainless head is a nice touch and the brass module that houses the circuit board and LED is great for heat transfer.I like the forward clicky switch where you can momentarily press the tail to signal or advance modes without latching on. The switch is not recessed so the light will not tailstand like a candle, but the protruding switch is easy to operate. The level order is hi-low-strobe-repeat and is advanced by cycling the power off-on where "off" is less than 5 seconds. In other words if you turn the light off then back on again within 5 seconds the level will advance. If the light is off for more than 5 seconds it resets and starts at the beginning on hi.Now my gripes:- The instructions tell you to load the batteries by unscrewing the tail. But the clip is exerting some pressure on the body and makes it a chore to remove and reinstall the tail without cross-threading. You need to pull out on the clip to clear the body while threading them together, quite a pain. It is much easier to unscrew the head of the light to change the cells. However when I did this I found there was no lube at all and removing/installing the head just once without lube has galled the threads. After lubing the threads with some silicone grease and cleaning the aluminum shavings out of the brass head threads, it is working much more smoothly and changing the batteries is easy as it should be. BTW there was no lube on the tailcap threads either and for a light at this price point disappointing is an understatement.- The clip is too stiff, too short, and too shallow. Stiff is good for grip, but sliding the clip over anything more than paper-thin is difficult. Also anything more than 1/16" thick, such as the seam of a jeans pocket, is a stretch for the clip - it is too shallow. The clip should be 3/8" longer and accept more thickness. As is it's good for a shirt pocket, not a pants pocket like I prefer. The base of the clip has a good friction fit where it attaches the body, but I would feel more confident if it were permanently attached.- The low level is not low enough for my taste. Visually it seems about 50% of the high level; I'd rather it was more like 5% and stealthy in a dark environment. 5 lumens would be enough for my low.- No strobe please. There may be someone out there who needs to disorient an assailant but I prefer running. I will not allow myself false confidence that my assailant will become nauseous and stagger about after becoming the victim of my penlight. Strobe is great for verifying that the light can strobe, or an impromptu disco party in a tent, but otherwise useless for me. It bums me out that I have to cycle past the strobe setting to get back to hi from low.So while this is a very bright small light with a quality build, it leaves me wanting the last 10% in design touches that would have made it perfect for my taste. Ideally I'd have it be just 2 levels, low-hi, with memory of the last state. Add to that a more versatile clip that is permanently attached to the body, and some lube on the threads before delivery and you have 5 stars.
