I use this for a shoulder tendon injury and it works well using it with hot gel packs. very easy to fit on and comfortable to wear. It has the look of a swordsman's shoulder guard but although it is a bit bulky it will fit under a jersey or a coat. Make sure to get large rectangular gel packs. the small 12cm (5") square ones do fit but are too small. So all that being said it would be a good buy BUT it also can be plugged in to any standard phone charger with a micro usb socket. I have bought a usb cable extender to give me 2 metres of cable and can sit watching telly with it heating up nicely. The heat distribution of the usb charger is a bit sketchy and you will have to move the pad around also if you use another cable other than the one supplied it keeps falling out. Like previous reviewers I have had to use some tape to secure the cable.

Love the heat on my shoulder. Following a car accident I need to use heat therapy and this has made it much easier along with the support too. I have found the Velcro very stiff though! So the fact it’s almost one handed given the angle some of it is needed to be done at is not very user friendly. I appreciate the strength in it however if no one is around to help me it becomes a little difficult. The heat pack isn’t too bulky though, you can’t feel it, the only downside is not having anywhere to hold your battery pack unless you have your own pocket in your jumper. (The ice pack is smaller and I wouldn’t use it for bigger battery packs)

Bought this for rotary cuff problem wore it to work and was surprised the battery lasted on it would recommend

I'm keeping it because it's comfortable and combined with red Tiger Balm it's does the job.I may just add it to a cosplay that would benefit from something that looks like shoulder armour.I've tried every Micro USB cable I own and every USB plug that fits their voltage and ampere recommendations, the most I've had from the heating element is a nice blue light that came on for 3 seconds and nothing since.As a heated shoulder brace, it's a thumbs down from me. As a comfortable shoulder brace to use with Tiger Balm, Deep Freeze or a painkiller cream of some kind, it's comfortable as as effective as any other neoprene product.
