Great Radio with cross band repeat function!
Fantastic radio! Easy to program. Functions perfectly and great price for what is included. Will be purchasing more. It does scan slower than some radios. To the previous reviewer, the rubber duck antenna with the green rubber band near the bottom IS telescopic. I didn’t realize it at first and thought that I didn’t receive a telescoping antenna either, but it’s there.

10 watts power, good starter radio.
Battery life is very good, sound is loud, very easy to program from front panel. Good bug out radio, too. I hit repeaters 12 to 22 miles from me. Good for use on repeater systems, but simplex use is much more limited, of course. 10 watts is better than 5 or 8 watt models.

Great Radio
I love the TYT radios, I have a DMR and standard one. They are very durable, with lots of accessories, and I'll keep buying TYT if I ever need a handheld Ham Radio.

If you can afford to spend a little bit more money on a handheld go for this one.
I have owned Mini handheld cheaper radios this for the price is amazing Bill weight to it quality and functions of buttons and knobs and it actually gives you a true 10watts unlike others that claim to have 10watts or more.

Good radio
This is a very good radio. It is a little difficult to set up unless you are like me and have a friend to set it up for you. Lol

slower scan than othe radios, low power is still pretty high (5watts)
Not quite what's shown in the picture, no telescopic antenna but did receive 3 different size rubber ducks. purchased to replace a 10 year old UV-F1. Good reports on simplex and through repeaters. Unlike some other Chinese radios this one is easy to program by hand if you just watch a video or two. Scan function is not all that fast but I only scan about 7 frequencies so its not an issue for me. I would have given it 5 stars but when the "display name" function is turned on any un named channel are blank in the display. Never had that problem with the UV-F1
