Well built. Works great.
Got my battle steel gun jaw today, seems like it is well built. Clamps down tight on gun and better price than other similar products out there.

Well made but unfortunately I can’t use it.
This clamp appears to be sturdy and well-made but it just doesn’t work on the rifles that I have. I tried it on three different ARs and and the clamp either didn’t close enough our was too shallow. On my MCMillan tac stock it clamps fairly well but the padded inserts allow too much movement and aren’t rigid enough. I also am not a fan of attaching this to an Arca plate with a 1/4” screw.

Impressive quality. Can't beat the value.
I stumbled across this clamp while shopping for a Hog Saddle, and am convinced that this hard to beat for the money. It is impressively engineered and has a quality look and feel to it. It clamps my HS Precision stock firmly without coming loose or moving. The big, triangular knob is easy to grip, even with thick gloves on. The knob spins freely, making rapid clamping and un-clamping easy, as well as switching between a wide forend rifle and a skinny rifle. The clamping force is enough to hold my 14-lb. composite-stock rifle firmly without worrying about having to over-tighten the clamp and damaging the stock.I recently took it on a multi-day desert trip, where it was dropped on the ground a lot and subjected to dirt and sand, and it never stopped working or got jammed up.My only gripe is that the QR base plate I attach to it, secured with a single 1/4-20 screw, works loose all the time. I actually disassembled the clamp, and drilled and tapped a hole for a #4-40 allen-head screw which now fits into one of the holes in the QR base plate and prevents the clamp from rotating even when the 1/4-20 screw works loose.I can't imagine why I would need or want to spend over $100 more for another brand of clamp. What could it possibly do better?

Tough, rugged and surpasses all competition.!!
Absolutely the best saddle on the market... I own several of the high dollar rigs that will never hold a candle to the quality and ruggedness of Battle Steels Gun Jaw.. we will be replacing our gear with these ASAP.!!!
