Exceptional quality at an affordable price!!
I was apprehensive about taking the plunge into digital drawing (as I prefer the old fashioned way) but my ambitions meant that it was a necessity. I planned to start with an affordable version at first and upgrade should the needs must. The Xp-Pen tablet however leaves little else to be desired. It really ticks every box, great size (just a little smaller than A3), exceptional display, simply set up instantly, perfect shortcut keys (I’m yet to customise as the presets are what I need), slightly matt surface to draw on and a pen which is exactly like a Wacom. Exceptional for the price considering a lot of its features are on the more pricey Wacom models. The stand offers only 1 angle and would be nice to rotate to turn your canvas, these however are available as extras so this is no hindrance of the tablet.A definite positive choice and worthy contender in drawing tablets!!

Great display tablet at a nice price
The only other display tablet I have experience with is an old Wacom cinique so Im going to be doing some comparisons.I decided on the 13.3inch screen as I intend to use this on my lap, and anything bigger would be unweildy, but I wanted something large enough to see clearly. There is a lot of bezzle on this, even more than the glass of the screen, so there is quite a bit of wasted space and added bulk, but I see most of this sort of tablet is the same, so Im sure there must be a reason for it?I havent had much chance to play with this yet, but so far I really like it, the pen isnt too bulky like Ive struggled with in the past, and the screen is nice and sharp and responsive. The wheel and buttons on the side are very useful and Ive already bound them to undo, copy, paste, delete etc. The software you download to go with it is very easy to use, and the instructions tell you exactly how to get it.The feel on the nib is very nice, no gritty feeling that can sometimes happen and it glides smoothly. As a lefty with quite large hands, I wasnt expecting the glove to be of any use to me, but it does actualy fit ok, well enough to use anyway.Over all a very nice display tablet considering how much cheaper it is compared to others of a similar nature and the buttons and wheel are an almost required feature. So far, I highly recomend.

A great upgrade
I've had this for 3 months now. This is my first tablet with a screen in it, and it's so much easier to work with. It's a big jump from the XP Pen Deco Pro I was using, and it's easily felt in the build quality - it's plastic, but has a real heft to it and doesn't feel cheap. The scroll wheel was really loose and easy to nudge on the Deco Pro, but the Artist 15.6 Pro has a clicky wheel with tactile bumps on every notch that is near-impossible to nudge accidentally, while still being responsive and easy to move when you want to use it. The buttons along the side have notches in them so you can feel your way to them - I like this, but I wish the notches were a little bigger and easier to feel. The screen quality is fantastic with bright colours and a fast response, and I haven't had any problems with the pen. The driver software is easy to use and customise per application, which I find really handy. It took some getting used to, but I've got my buttons set up with shortcut keys and macros on all my most used applications, which has come in pretty handy. My only wish is that it had mounting holes on it! It would be great to have it on an arm.

XP -pen Artistv13.3 Pro
I know this sounds daft, but you can tell a lot about the quality of a product by its packaging. The box and packaging 10/10. As for the product, its beautiful, works so very well. The stylus pen feels very good. It's not light weight nor feels cheap. The whole product is weighty and has a feel of quality about it. I'm sure I will love it more as I learn more and experiment, but my first impression is its worth the money. It is true...you get what you pay for, and while this pad is a little pricey, compared to much cheaper products, there is no comparing them. Recommend

Excellent bit of kit for all.
This is the first drawing tablet I have used. I struggle with using illustrator on my laptop. Mastering control of the tools has been tiresome and it was suggested I might get on better with a drawing tablet. It was at the top of my budget for a new piece of untested equipment £249, before £30 discount offer (thankyou - very nice), so £219. After a bit if research, I worked out I definitely would be more accurate faster with a tablet that duplicated my program image rather than a blank tablet, which would certainly require more hand I co-oordination than I have patience for, especially on detailed work. Best decision made in my book. I have only tried out for a few hours but so far very impressed. I am sure higher budgeted models and brands must be amazing, but this seems to be all I need for my illustration work at this time. Very simple to set up. I have a old laptop with MS windows 7, and use old Adobe Illustrator CS program. I was concerned initially that a new gadget probably would not be compatible, but as this xp-pen said okay for 7,8,9,10 versions, I thought it would be worth trying. It worked instantly without downloading additional drivers, but I did download a newer version off their website when I could not locate the pen tablet setting box to configure my preset buttons. Once downloaded newer version all appeared as it should. Still learning control but all is very comfortable. The screen 11" size was another factor I am glad I went for. If I could afford to go bigger I would, but this for me is the minimum workable size. Eying off the 24" when upgrade time comes. Screen colour is good. The pen is very nice. I read about people saying had to be careful with and I would not want to drop it for fear of damage. Replacements are@ £25, so annoying but not the end of the world. It comes with a stand, which I find the texture of quite rough. I think it could be abrasive on the tablet back if you keep putting on and off in due course. I use a fold away adjustable one from amazon I actually bought for laptop, and sit laptop in the xp-pen one. I can then adjust my working angle to suit. I have ordered screen protectors as I think the screen contact with pen will eventually leave marks, just from repeated actions. Currently left the initial packaging protector on while I practice. This model must be connected to laptop to operate. Some makes and models are compatible with Android (not this one), so if being mobile is important, you would require a different tablet. As my illustrator only works on this laptop, being portable was not a consideration for me. The only peeve I have discovered in this short time is the 3 to 1 hmdi/usb leads. You need all to be engaged or functionality is effected - IE pen does not work black usb is disconnected, so it has used up all my portals - hence the 4 star rating. Not a big deal, but a little annoying for me as I can't use my mouse on laptop. Probably not a issue on a newer laptop. Mine is 8+ years old. Aside from that, for price point it appears to deliver everything I need it to for my digital artwork. Highly recommended.
