Not quite as good as the first two...
I really and truly love Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I recommend the books to almost everyone I know and I haven't let anyone down so far. I will still certainly recommend the books in the series to just about anyone - but this one in particular was not quite as good as the first two in the series.I'm not sure what it was about this book that kept me from getting as into it as the first two. The plot was a bit more scattered for me which probably makes the main contribution to my slight disappointment. Not that the other Hitchhiker's Guide books are not scattered - this one just had a different feel.I am curious to re-read the book though. When I started reading the book, I got through the first several chapters and my kindle wasn't able to save the last read page. I went back through and re-read the chapters I had already read and it was way more hilarious than I had thought the first time around. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with a much better rating once I give it a second read.Anyway, I most certainly recommend the book - just read the first two books first. They certainly would give a much better introduction to the characters than this installment.

Very funny
Crazy, random, all over the place. Absolutely hilarious with plenty of the dives into little side bits about absolutely nothing it seems at the time, which then comes around later in some joking way with still no importance to the plot haha

Meh
It wasn't bad. But the first in the series was so good that the other two just feel like they were written for the sake of writing them. Overall, it was alright. I did enjoy a lot of parts.

excellent service
this book was advertised as a signed copy and it was, but the signature was a reproduction. this became obvious as the book was printed in England in 2005 and unforunatly Mr. Douglas Adams passed away in May of 2001. That being said, Tiffany (who works for the seller) went out of her way to make me happy with this order. I cannot state fully my apprection of the time and effort on her part to ensure my happiness. In my opinion, this is what makes a trully excellent company, because even the best of them will "enjoy the Opportunity" to have problems, only the best of them can make the customer feel as if there were no probem to begin with and be happy to do further buisness.

Adams continues to dazzler Hitchhiker fans
For fans of the Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy, this is one of the follow-up episodes that continue the arc of the story. It is replete with the characters' strange encounters, the verbal non-sequiturs, and the dizzying discontinuity of time and space to which the first books have accustomed the reader. Some people will find the whole series maddening, others will continue to be committed more deeply to an undying love of the subject and the style of this uncommon science fiction tale.

Sore thumbs
This is my third hitchhiking trip, and although my thumb is getting sore, I have no choice but to keep on truckin'.Coming from the larger part of the world, where "krikkit" is a national obsession, I found this one particularly clever, even though the aficionados will shudder at the abuse of the hallowed ashes.Always willing to throw a stinging barb here and there, I also loved the immortal Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged, who is on a quest to personally insult every individual being in the Universe - in alphabetical order.Add in the flying lessons, the many-times-reincarnated Agrajag (not an Arthur Dent fan by any means), and of course my favorite robot Marvin, and you have an easy reading fun hike across the galaxy, with less of the sci-fi stuff, and more of the humor. There's less Zaphod Beeblebrox than usual, but as he spends most of this story in a drunken stupor while Trillian flirts with the God of Thunder, we won't bother him at this particular time.Sticking my sore thumb out now for the next adventure in hitchhiking - see you there!Amanda Richards, March 12, 2005

Wonderful, Wonderful
Honestly I love this book, but make sure that you've read the first two before. (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Restaurant at the End of the Universe) or you will be extremely confused. These books are not for everyone. They're really random and a bit hard to follow for some, but I've thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Great books. As for Amazon's service, I love it. The ebook is great and has all of the features of their books including x-ray which is extremely helpful. Would buy again

Excelente
Mais uma obra prima da série! Douglas Adams consegue a cada livro nos surpreender mais pela sua capacidade de não seguir padrões nas histórias.
