Needs improvement. See the review.
Separated the expecting female guppies from their young as I needed. It is a good thickness but there is a gap under the divider and the smaller female kept going under it to the other female. The larger female ate the smaller females tail off and she eventually died. There is no suction in this product. It is a floater.

Good but should have some improvement
I was a serious hobbyist that used to have 9 tanks and a pond about 10 years ago. Now down to 4 tanks only. I have one of this before and love it and use all the time for betta, sick, injure, new fish that wait to settle. It work as Hatchery for guppy, small platy or moon fish, but feel that too small/shallow for molly of bigger livebearers. If your spiceman is big, then baby fish may be also too big and can not go thru the gap to the bottom. I hope it will come with a cover like the smaller version does, but it is durable and useful and must have for any reason.

Good size for mollies!
I'm using it as an isolation box since, unfortunately, fish injury came before I had a need to use it for live birthing. If you take out the middle partition it's a good size for a molly (which is what I've got in there) to swim around, not too stressful on the fish. As I was trying to find one of these, it wasn't easy finding an inexpensive box that was an appropriate size for a molly, but this one works well! The slats seem good for allowing water flow, and it stays afloat without the need for suction cups. For the price it is a good, solid product, and I would reccomend.

Marina 2-in-1 Fish Hatchery
Gets the job done. There is a newer version of this product by Top Fin that includes suction cups, which allow you to anchor the hatchery to your tank wall.In terms of isolating fry from ravenous adults... this product is only so-so. If you have any sort of predatory fish in your tank that are capable of sucking, fry will be instantly gobbled up through the slots on the side (narrow enough to prevent them from swimming out of the hatchery, but not narrow enough to prevent them from being eaten by outside fish).A good option for isolating injured or aggressive adult fish (the separators are easy to add/remove).

My 90+ fish babies thank you
This worked exactly as advertised. The momma gave birth, and the babies were able to get under cover where she couldn't reach them. I think the only thing that was an issue for me was that I wanted to transfer the babies to a hanging net to mature in since I have other pregnant fish. The slits on the side of the hatchery (to let water in) was also where water would drain out if I tried pulling the hatchery up to move the babies. I had to cover the side with my hand so the water wouldn't seep out, and then moved the babies to their new hanging net home. Minor issue. My 90+ black mollie babies are happy their mom didn't eat them.

wanted to use for only 1 fish
initially purchased for an injured fish. for that it worked for just having one fish in. then wanted to use it then for a hatchery for just one fish but the bottom piece that creates the safe haven for the baby fry doesn't stay in place unless the divider is in place and with the divider in place just too small for me to not feel bad about enclosing the fish in for even just overnight.

I own 2!!
Works pretty good,if you are looking for something to hold fry in , I use this just for fry and I've been using it for at least 6 months and have had alot of success, the ones that hook outside of tank we're not an option for me as I have a cat and 4 yr old child , but for internal use I recommend these I even bought a second one!

Buon prodotto

Design issue?
Both breeders jumped out and had their fry in the tank. Angel fish food. :(
