My husband is on his feet for long periods of time on cement while working. It got to the point where he was having constant pain in his feet and his sciatic nerve was getting more and more painful. We purchased these boots in hopes that they would give some relief. I am pleased to say that within a week of wearing them there was a tremendous improvement. When I asked him if he would recommend them he said "Definitely... He is extremely happy with them.

Very nice shoe. Wear at least 14 hours a day. Mixed days of standing on concrete all day to sitting in office all day. Comfortable all around. They do look a little funny as they have a clog look to them but for the comfort I don't care. And once they're scuffed up like a work shoe/boot should be they look fine. I scored these on a warehouse deal for a fraction of the new cost. Well worth it and will keep my eye out for another deal and will buy again. I used bees wax boot conditioner once. I read the wax helps with water resistance but hinders breathing. I used the wax all the time on my Romeo's but the soles wore out within one year. My feet get sweaty so I will try leather conditioner next time and see if ventilation is better.

Day 2 on the construction site; first impression boot looks a little goofy ...kind of like a clog ...but after wearing these to work on concrete all day I dont care what they look like ... incredibly comfortable like walking on a ergo mat all day ...and no rubbing or brake in neededAnd when I get home dont have to sit down and untie my boots to get them off ..I'm only giving them a 4 star rather than the 5 because of the high toe making them look funny ...

These shoes have the worse break in period. The inside portions of the tounges dug into my foot and caused a wound after the first day. This made the shoes painful to wear I had to use blister tape in to relieve the pressure. Poor arch support that required different insoles. These also do not slip on easily and require a shoehorn to keep the heels from getting destroyed. After healing and $50 in extras I wear these everyday and they are great. The fit is very good and while being not easy to slip on at least they stay on snuggly. If these shoes had better insoles and the tounge was redesigned these would be 5 stars.

I guess not every shoe is good for every person. These shoes felt really comfy at first they were a little stiff around my ankle but I figured they would break in. I work 12 hr shifts and do a lot of walking. After a few days my knees started to hurt and my feet were sore around the ankle and also the balls of my feet. I tried a couple different inserts and figured they would break in. The shoes fit great but really are tight at the top and don't seem to be getting better. Finally I had to give up on them and go back to my old safety shoes instantly my knees felt better and feet felt great. Maybe I will try to slowly break them in or different inserts but for now they are not working for me.

Overall great shoe that ticks all the boxes I need, slip resistance, safety toe, static resistance, plus they are light compared to most other safety shoes I have worn. The only thing is they get a little uncomfortable to me when on a cement floor all day. I had to get insoles to go with them. After that, they are great and I don't think I could get another safety shoe.

These are GREAT shoes!! I am a fireman and wear them for duty boots at the station and I can have them on for over 12 hours and my feet still feel great! Many other boots I have tried, killed my feet after about six hours of wear. The insoles in these shoes are great as well! Shoe fits as expected and I have turned a few other firemen on to them and they also agree that they are super comfortable! Easy on and off for when our tones go off. Very impressed with these and will continue to be a Thorogood wearer in the future!!

This shoe has been a real find- electric hazard rated, toe and heel cup, nonslip, and something I can wear in an office. This is my second purchase.My only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the foam in the heel will wear out. Best to buy one of those shoe fitting tools to slip this on with if you want it to last more than a year. But shoes should really be replaced annually anyways if you use them a lot.
