I did not get this from Amazon, my cousin gave me hers. She used it to stop her son from thumb sucking. When I got it it was full, she said it worked almost immediately. I was skeptical. My son was sucking his thumb since he was 4 mo old. I've started this last summer when he was 2 1/2 yr old, applied it to the nail of the thumb he was sucking while he was distracted (so that he does not connect the two). Some time later he tried to suck his thumb and made a face. This thing is bitter (I tried it on myself first). I kept applying it to his thumb next few days and he stopped!!!! That was over a year ago and he completely quit. When i talked to his dentist some time after that, she told me that is almost unheard of, for a 2 1/2 yr old to stop like that.I have no idea if this will work for everyone, but it sure worked for me.

Bought it for three yr old finger sucker. She stopped for 1day. Now it doesn't phase her at all. It never stopped 2 year old thumb sucker either :( i was really hoping it would work. I think if they were old enough to want to quit it would do the trick but my girls were just too young to care i think.
