It is supplied for small scale repairs of SURFACE, not major rework of structurally compromised board. If the core of the board has been damaged (like a warp or crumple), hang it on the wall as a memento, and get another board... If a large area of surface is separating from underlying material only, perhaps due to water intrusion, MAYBE, you can do a repair. I fixed about 4 small dings and one medium one about 2in x 4in x 1/2in (height x length x depth). The think lacking in this kit is a variety of sandpaper with different grit. You only get one and it is coarse. If you want a smooth finish you'll need to buy a different grit squares, use a sanding block, and get some wet-sand paper too.
