Trumpeter 1/350 Scale German heavy cruser prinz eugen 1945

This model has been demanding, both in time and in patience. The kit has numerous small parts and many are difficult to fit even with tweezers and other instruments. I'm not sure that I've built a model with this many small parts. The instructions are hard to follow occasionally, both in what the pictures ask you to do and which step is next. Building the Eugen has not been a pleasant experience. I've twice almost stopped work for good but have plowed on, determined to see this finished. Understand that I levy my criticism as a 72-year-old who has been a modeler for 66 years. I'm not a novice to this. Three weeks before starting this project I built a model of the Japanese battleship Yamoto and the experience was wonderful. Tamiya models are much better than Trumpeter's, in my judgment. I can't recommend this as a purchase unless you have an unlimited supply of patience....

This kit came as advertised, 4 stars for delivery time. Even though I still have to wait 10 weeks to get the photoetch from China and the decks from Australia.

What can I say....it's a Trumpeter kit and as expected, it's a beauty! Can't wait to start this build. Beautiful workmanship as always.

This is a great model kit for the advanced modeler. I got to visit her final resting place in the Marshall Islands and dove this wreck so I have a sentimental attachment to this ship and had to build the model kit upon my return to the states.

I am making a display of WWII, battleships, this will be a great addition to my display, with Bismarck.

Extreme detail. Looks like a welcome challenge

This is very detailed model at a good price.The parts all fit well together and there were no problems.Instruction manual was also well written and easy to follow
