I looked at quite a few of these before settling on this one, and it works great. Ran them both through the dishwasher on sani cycle and they came out fine. They're just the right size where I can keep it in the microwave on its side, out of the way but right there when I need it, at which point it's just smaller than the turntable, so big enough to fit around all but the biggest dishes, and tall enough to clear the food. The handle works well, and the vent is nice as it allows for use either sealed or vented.

Had another cover made of silicone which collapsed. It slid off the plate. This cover is slightly larger than a dinner plate so it fits perfectly. I love it!

Spaghetti sauce splattered all over the microwave again. Finally looked up a microwave cover. This works great. Covers an average size plate perfect and it rinses off easily. The only downside is that I'm constantly taking it out and putting it back in the microwave for things that it doesn't cover, like a coffee cup, quart container, bag of popcorn, etc. Not a big deal, it just becomes part of a new routine.

I had to replace an old microwave because the paint on the inside was chipping away. Had no idea why. Then i learned that food splatter (pasta sauce, etc), if left inside the microwave, it will literally cook the paint off. So eventually the paint was basically rotting away. If you don't have one you need to buy one!PROS:- It works and easy to use.- It's cheap to purchase- It will leave your microwave 99.9% clean. My new microwave, after weeks of using it. The inside looks brand new still. Which means the microwave won't suffer paint damage and it will extend the life of the microwave.- You won't have to clean the inside of your microwave. (i still check to make sure it's clean just in case)- The plastic doesn't melt, it barely gets hot. So you can safely grab the top handle and pull it off. Then wipe inside to clean the plate cover if you need to.- I think one of these plate covers could last for many years. It doesn't look like it would ever break and you can always clean and reuse it.CONS:DON'T PUSH THIS PLATE COVER DOWN ONTO A PLATE IF IT'S THE SAME SIZE. IT WILL GET STUCK. GENTLY SIT THIS PLATE COVER OVER THE PLATE- I wish it was a tiny bit larger.As it turns out, my big plates are the same size as this plate cover. At first, i pushed the plate cover down around the plate. This caused a problem. The plate cover got stuck to the plate and was hard to remove the plate.I did manage to get the plate out and i learned my lesson not to do that again.So it would be good if this product came in a size a tiny bit larger. This product doesn't fill the entire microwave plate, so a slightly larger plate cover would easily fit.Not an issue though. I just put the this plate cover over my big plates but i gently place it on top of the plate, so it sits on the plate itself.For plates smaller, it won't be an issue.SUMMARY:If you own a microwave BUY THIS! It's an necessity.I think this could also be a good gift idea. It's low cost. And it will save the person from cleaning their microwave.I did also check out the plate cover with the magnets on top. But i don't really understand that product idea. First off, can you even microwave with a magnet inside the microwave? Will it damage the microwave? And why would you need to store the product away on the inside roof of the microwave? The whole point of buying a plate cover is to cover the food you put inside the microwave. So there's really no reason i can think of of why i would want to use the magnet or take this product out of your microwave for storage. I keep this plate cover in my microwave 100% of the time.

Easy to wash, and adjustable/collapsable in height for both storage or in use. Much more safe than all the various types of toxic plastic out there!!! Easy to grip the top to lift and place.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now, it covers a large plate, the bottom lip seals to the dish in the microwave, and it survived a drip through the dishwasher on the top shelf perfectly. It's just what I wanted to keep the microwave's inside tidy.

Like that it is tall. Easy to clean can fit everything under it

We have standing microwave with no plate, and often make large batch meals to freeze and reheat so a lot of splatter can occur. This cover solves that problem. It is large enough to fill the space and formed enough that it doesn't tosh the food giving good clearance and stops steam dripping back onto the food. The option to let steam out or keep it in should be good for lazy steaming veg but I haven't tried yet.
