For the price you absolutely can not go wrong
Once upon a time I had a dream that I bought the perfect pair of footwear. I slept in them, swam in the then, showered in them, and even made love in them. I always thought that dream was not on any realm of reality until I bought these shoes. I don't have any plans of ever taking them off

Grippy lightweight watershoe - exactly what I wanted
Shopping for shoes at size 14 is a chore. Filtering on Amazon to that size already limits you to some pretty narrow options. That's why I was glad to find a pair of water shoes that are comfortable, sturdy (for watershoes), and well priced. After purchasing, I went on a day trip to Slide Rock, Arizona and spent the day clambering over red rocks, as well as wading and swimming in Oak Creek. They gripped well, swam fine (as best watershoes can), and show no signs of wear (besides the red rock dust I brrought home).I was a little surprised they have removable insoles, but I only noticed this after a day of using them, so I'm doubtful they will become a problem and I will likely be glad I can wash or air them out in the future.Men's sizes run 1 whole size too large, bit they do fit a bit more snug when wet. Consider 1/2 to 1 size smaller and don't forget to tie off any loose elastic!

Not for active athletics
I purchased these for racing sailboats, kayaking, hiking and possibly sand volleyball (on cold nights!). After using these for one day racing in a Thistle sailboat I determined that they got a nice grip on the wet boat bottom interior. That was the only good part. No matter how tight I made the elastic laces they couldn't stay tight. The back of shoe was low and continually came off. Determined quickly that they were not good for racing. In walking on gravel paths, any stone or stick on the path could be felt through the soul. Not good for hiking. If you were to leisurely kayak or be in a motor boat these would be great shoes. I found them to be comfortable, but I don't think I could walk in them for too long a time with very little to none arch support. I think they are quite overpriced for what you get. As for sand volleyball, I think they will just fall off since you can't make the laces tight. Typically I just return products that are not up to standard, but I wanted to share my feelings on these because I was so disappointed.

Super happy with these. Fit perfect & quality workmanship.
Edit: for some inexplicable reason, right after I posted this review the manufacturer shifted the US shoe sizes so that 9.5 became 9 and 10.5 became 10. I'm glad I ordered before this change or I would've ordered a "10" (10.5) and it wouldn't have fit as perfectly as the "9" (9.5)....I have a foot size that is exactly 9.5 US. But because manufacturers don't always nail it, I have to go with a 10 — which fits OK — or a 10.5 which is borderline too large.I wasn't sure what to order, so went with the 9.5 knowing I could just return and order the 10.5 if they didn't fit. Well, they fit perfectly.I love Zero drop / barefoot running style minimalist shoes. And the price of these far exceeds what one might expect for the quality and workmanship. I've only had them a few days, but they are super comfortable and I imagine they will last far longer than the price tag indicates they should. I will definitely be ordering another pair in the future.

Versatile
I use these for lake swimming and stand up paddling (SUP).Pros:- they protect feet from the rocks in the lake- they grip the board really well- they do dry quickly- especially if you remove the inserts- water drains right out- they float. Get a bright color for a better chance of seeing them if you need to recover it- I was able to go from SUP and swimming to a short hike, without changing shoes- they do run a bit tight, yet you don’t want them loose like regular shoes or they won’t stay when wet.- there was surprisingly little lake muck in them when I cleaned them out, perhaps because it drains with the water. Your muck may vary!- warmer than going barefootCons:- one fell off of my foot in the lake. This was likely user error, but I thought that I had them both snug enough. Since it floats and I chose a bright color, I did recover it. I may mark the ties once I know how tight I need them.- it would be great if replacement inserts were available. These will get a lot of use and I will need them!Caveat:Previously I always bought water shoes on the cheap, and that was a waste as they either dug in uncomfortably or didn’t hold up for a day. This is my first time buying in the $25 - 30 range. Eyes opened! My comparison experiences were cheap junk, though, FWIW.Summary:My old water shoes are all going in the trash. These are the ones! They are rugged, still comfortable, and surprisingly did provide a bit of warmth vs paddling barefoot. I used them for about 2.5 hrs, wet and dry, without “breaking them in” first and I had no comfort issues. I hope that this review is helpful to you; do let me know, and happy shopping!

The size is pretty standard so get your size that usually fits you!
How does this product fit? I have to return this as shoes were a smaller fit than expected. Other reviews recommended to get one size smaller but i found my toes uncomfortable.
