Far Lighter Material Than Anticipated
I have other plain/flat aluminum clipboards but wanted one with storage for pencils and paper. I selected this one for the positive reviews and option for the low profile paper clip. The build quality is great and the integrated hinge is well executed (the hinge is part of the box itself, not a hinge attached to the box). There are no sharp edges and it arrives well packed in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. However, I was disappointed by how light weight the material is and in fact it feels flimsy due to the thin material. For comparison, I measured a Saunders Mfg flat clipboard at 0.124 inches thick stock where this one measures 0.105 inches thick. I have to think the thin material will not hold up over time.
