Women's Wazee Ankle Boot

I love these bootie/sandals!!!! That said, I did size down one full size; I am normally an 8, but based upon other reviews, I ordered the 7 and they are near perfect in size. These shoes totally exemplify my style and work wonderfully with my wardrobe. For reference, I am in my 50's now, 5'4, 125 lbs and always where an 8 in shoes and all three of my Freebird boots are a size 8...anyway, not a deal breaker at all. I would like to know how others address the tie around the ankles as I had to untie and unwrap the tie to get my foot into the shoe and of course, couldn't get the ties back through the loops...again, not a deal breaker as I simply wrapped it around and tied it to the side as pictured. Did I mention that these are very comfortable and easy to wear and walk around in for an extended period of time - I've had them on for 6+ hours and have been doing lots of walking today without any friction or discomfort - excellent size heal and good construction.

Full disclosure: I am a shoe lover. These are really great looking shoes; it's difficult to find something that compares. Unfortunately like many other reviewers, I am unhappy with the fit. I am a solid size 8, sometimes 8.5 if the shoe is narrow. I ordered a size 8 in this shoe, but should have ordered the 7. The large fit, wider width and openness at the middle of the shoe, and the block heel make these shoes feel, well, "clomp-y".The heel is a good height and the leather is comfortable. I like that the shaft doesn't go too far up the leg; this makes the shoe more comfortable and my legs look longer than in other boots.I really wanted to keep these, but given the fit I will have to return them. If you are thinking of ordering a pair, size down. If you size down and the shoe is a bit tight in any spot, you can always stretch the leather. I doubt people who size down would have an issue with length. These size 8s I have on feel like a 9.

Beautiful shoes! Very hippie chic in the distressed brown but this Freebird open toe sandals run large especially if you have skinny feet.*** UNLIKE THEIR BOOTS WHICH TEND TO RUN NARROW AND ON THE SMALL SIDE*** My feet are not narrow just boney. I usually wear a size 8. I ordered these in a size 7 as I have another pair of Freebird sandals and know they run large....Freebird sandal shoes have oddly large sizing but they're lovely shoes! This model ran extra large so I returned them... You can try Freebirds on at Dillard's..

Way to wide & long.

Love these shoes... glad I followed the advice (thanks everyone) to get a smaller size as I normally wear an 8 and the 7 fit perfectly. I can wear these shoes all day at the office, but found on concrete my feet started to get sore after a few hours of being on my feet the whole time. Perfect for country music festivals in summer when boots are too hot to wear! The first pair I received was damaged so I contacted Amazon and they shipped another pair even before I sent the first pair back. As I am in Canada I was so impressed that the shipping was covered both ways, fantastic service.

Love them! I usually get a9 in Freebird shoes, but for some reason, this show runs big. Love the style and everything!!!

For the $$ they fit badly. I don't think getting a diff size would help. Disappointed.

Lovely shoes but the sizing is very tricky. I am a size 9 and knew the style ran big but the 9 was less expensive than the 8 so I decided to try it. I bought 3 in size 9 because I knew the size would vary in fit and the returns were free. I got lucky and one fit good. One ran a bit roomy and would probably fit a 9.5 perfect but a size 9 could get away with it. The last one was huge and would probably fit a size 10! The shoes are made well and look fantastic on so it is worth it if you can find a pair that fits.
