Good value for convenience
Let me start out by saying, I am a novice. But a friend and avid fisher had a telescoping rod, and I thought it’d be perfect for me.This rod is nothing fancy, but I love how compact it gets. It easily fits in my car, in my backpack and is great for taking on my paddle board. It probably couldn’t handle any large fish, but it’s great for the ponds and small lakes near me.

Compact fishing rod
Gave this as a gift to a family member and he says it is great and can't wait to catch some real fish instead of practicing in the house.

Cheap cheap cheap
The media could not be loaded. We had high hopes for this after reading positive reviews on various websites but don’t waste your $. We used this one time, for a camping trip, and it was broken after the first use. Rod extended nicely and set up easily, but the reel definitely feels as cheap as it is. On top of that, the rod wouldn’t fully collapse. Several in our group tried to get the final section to retract and it would not budge. What did budge, however, was the metal guide and the butt of the rod handle. The rod wouldn’t collapse, but instead pushed its way out through the handle end of the rod. We tried brute strength, water, spit, wd-40 and various other attempts to get this sucker to collapse to its packable size but it’s not budging. Used for less than 20 casts.

Fun little pole
Super fun! I use it when i fish from my kayak recreationally. Carrier a 3lb cat last Saturday. It might snap with anything bigger, but its easy to use, comes with line and packs up beautifully. Shortest stem sticks a bit, so be careful when you close it.
