Great for my middle-aged skin!!
After a major makeup company (who shall remain nameless...) discontinued my favorite loose powder, I tried several different brands before landing on this one. Let's just say I am not a makeup expert, so I had no idea what the difference is between baking, setting, mineral, and finishing powder.Experiment #1: tried setting powder. As a 40 something year old, this gave new meaning to the word "cakey," especially in the ever creeping lines under my eyes. Hello! Why yes, yes I wear loose powder. Why do you ask?Experiment #2: high def talc-free powder. Better, but felt like it was sitting on top of my skin and could be brushed off easily. Also had the added benefit of drying out my already dry skin. NEXT!Experiment #3: enter Physicians Formula loose powder. At first, I wasn't used to using a sponge to apply powder. But holy smokes, this stuff has been amazing! It has a thicker coverage, but I like that, because I don't have to spend as much time concealing dark spots and blemishes. Also, it leaves a smooth and glowy appearance, even after several hours. Needless to say, this is my new go-to loose powder. It is worth every bit of the cost compared to cheaper powders under $10. If you are in your 40s or 50s, give this a shot - it'll be worth it!

Good product
This is great for sensitive skin. It has good coverage and I have had no issues with creasing. I have combo skin and it holds up well. I prefer this over bare minerals.

Love this powder! (Not the new sponge it comes with)
I love this product. I have been using this since middle school and I’m now in my 30’s. It literally works like an eraser, getting rid of any flaws. I liked the old kabuki style brush it used to come with but I just use one of my other makeup brushes. The sponge it comes with does not work well. Use a fluffy brush and it blends out flawlessly. This product fits in with my low-tox lifestyle and I feel like it helps my skin not break out so much.

Perfect!
All my make up applications are Physician Formula. I love this powder it is light weight and buildable. It really hides a lot of my fore head and eye creases and imperfections quiet well. My skin literally feels and looks so smooth when applied. I have some acne scarring and this helps smooth them out. I put on primer for extra smoothness around my pores, scarring and since this is powder I got to wait for the primer to set and dry a little before applying a little powder on those areas. But it works perfectly with my primer, blush, etc! Love love love love it! My go to for sure! Only thing is I noticed it doesn’t have SPF anymore? Kinda bummed about that but I wear SPF anyways so I’m happy either way! :)

Wanted to love it
I'm not a makeup connoisseur by any means. I have uneven skin tone with redness that is difficult to cover up. My go-to has always been liquid foundation with powder on top to set it. As a mom of 2, I no longer have time to do a full face like that. I need something quick with good coverage, and have been trying to stick with powder only. The pros: I immediately loved the tint of this powder. Most powders are a shade or two of and I end up having to blend well into my neck to not look like a weirdo. It's the closest I've ever had with my skin tone. The coverage blew me away, I could get away with using half of what I would typically use out of other powders...and I've tried quite a bit. Plus, it has sunscreen!! Based on my initial reaction, I was ready to purchase this powder for life.Cons: just throw the sponge applicator away immediately. That thing is useless. I used my regular powder brush, which was somewhat problematic with the lid as it's so small to dab into. I either need a smaller brush, or something else to put my powder in for applying. And the worst for last... any amount of water/liquid will strip this right off your face at a very surprising rate. Sweating...crying...rain...splash of water... runny nose... you name it, will turn right into dots and streaks wherever it landed. It's even worse with something underneath it (liquid foundation, tinted sunscreen, etc.) This won't be practical for me outside my home. I'm really afraid to touch my face at all with it on for fear of it coming right off. I've used primers and setting sprays and nothing works. Really wishing I could solve it and it would be a 5-star product in my book.

Great coverage for aging skin
This works so much better than cream foundation. Especially for my aging skin. It doesn't settle into fine lines but disguises them and lessens large pores. It also covers my rosacea so well. You may need to moisturize first, as my skin is dry, and this can accentuate that, especially nostril creases. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and will continue to purchase. No more pore concealer + coverup + foundation + pressed powder. Just this. The applicator is kind of useless. I just use a foundation brush and it works great. Maybe they will eventually add a brush instead of the weird sponge applicator. Still great product overall!

Ranks high for my SUPER sensitive skin!
Lightweight, layerable, provides nice coverage and is gentle on my hyper-sensitive skin. It doesn't irritate my skin even after wearing it all day or falling asleep and forgetting to wash my face. I use it with a full powder brush because the sponge it comes with is weird, but I LOVE this alternative to the costly options. I've been a Bare Minerals girl for YEARS and I actually think I prefer this!
