I had a stone mason build a pillar around the mailbox and newspaper holder. So far the newspaper delivery folks haven't used it, but a some people walking have picked put my paper in it. It looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Four Stars *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2017* Had to modify it to fit architectural mailbox.. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Not as Advertised, Product Title Misleading and Picture Inaccurate , Otherwise well built *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2014* Title and picture misleading. First the picture denotes a rectangular tube, four solid sides with holes for a bracketed mount. The product is actually a 3 sided rectangle with two cross brackets on the top (see picture enclosed) suggesting it has to be mounted to either a plate or a mailbox to ensure weatherproofing. Second, the title says "Universal". This suggests it can be used with any mailbox or any post. Far from the truth. It's only compatible with a few Architectural posts and a couple of Architectural mailboxes. Luckily I had the compatible mailbox, else it was going right back. Also, wasn't happy with the provided standard zinc hex bolts and nuts that, once installed, protruded high into the mailbox floor and would certainly cause snags with inserting mail and would also rust in a very short time. I replaced the bolts with stainless carriage bolts that had rounded heads that were nearly flush with the mailbox floor. Once the jury rigs were complete, it fit pretty well.
