This is a nice set of trays and tray holder. The trays are put together already, you have to put together the stand that holds the tray. It was simple, and I usually have trouble putting things together, not with this, the instructions were EASY to understand, and I completed it with no errors in a very short time period. The looks of this unit is very nice, the trays are sturdy, they are a nice addition to our living room.

This is a very nice product. It was easy to assemble and looks great. After reading some of the other reviews, I was concerned the tray just sat loose on the top and could be easily knocked off. However we found it is held in place quite firmly by the tray holders. We also used a little glue on the screw caps to stop them from popping out. After seeing it assembled my daughter-in-law ordered one for her family. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for such an item.

Quite nice finish. They can improve the thickness of the table legs to make it unwobbly

Ever been to a flea market? This is that level of furniture. This is "discount furniture store"-grade furniture. You know the kind of furniture stores that operate in rundown strip malls and hire people with philosophy degrees to spin signs out on the side of the road? Those stores are too good for this grade of furniture. I had a friend who operated his own stall at an indoor flea market for a time. He imported and sold stuff from southeast Asia that he could sell for cheap because he bought it dirt cheap. Stuff that you could honestly say that its only selling points were that it was made of very cheap-feeling wood that could legitimately be claimed as solid wood and that it was inexpensive to purchase. The kind of furniture that you buy knowing that it's going to be falling apart in a year or two. If Harbor Freight were to open a chain of furniture stores, this is the grade of furniture they'd sell. That's the quality of the product that I paid too much for, and that's what you'll get if you purchase this product. I've seen beautiful Thai furniture. Handcrafted works of intricate detail carved by masters that most definitely qualify as works of art. This is not that furniture. The tray tables come fully assembled. The wood finish is coarse in some places, but I'm not sure that you could ever sand this terrible wood smooth. My house reeked of wood stain for several hours after unboxing everything. The tray tables wobble side to side and generally sit on three of the four legs. Can't wait to experience "rodeo dinner" when I get to cut a piece of steak on one of these things and the table bucks around like a bull. If I had to heap scorn on anything in particular, though, it would be the stand with the serving tray top. I mean, that's why you're looking at this particular item, right? You can purchase four tray tables in a set for cheaper, but you don't want to just lean them against the wall like a slob, right? First off, you're going to have to put that stand together yourself. I hope you like IKEA instructions, because I'll let you know that those pictographs don't show you which way the boards need to be facing. The holes for the screws are drilled off-center due to poor craftsmanship, so the boards don't line up cleanly when you connect them together. There are no joints, either, so the only thing keeping this stand together are the cheap screws, so it's not sturdy at all. At least one of the boards had a knot hole with a crack in it that I probably could snap in two. The stand is quite an eyesore without the serving tray sitting on it. The casters are quite literally the cheapest quality casters I've ever seen. The casters roll, but they don't pivot around. The serving tray is nothing you would want to serve guests with. It's of such poor quality and craftsmanship that I think that it hardly qualifies as decorative. If I were a shop teacher and a student turned this in for a project, I'd give that kid a "D". It looks like it was probably slapped together in under two minutes. I mean, really, it's junk, and I wouldn't give you a dollar for it. If you gave me this serving tray as a gift, then your gift would be out on the curb with the rest of the rubbish on the next waste collection day. All in all, I'm extremely disappointed in this purchase. It's overpriced for the low-quality junk that it is -- I'd be hard-pressed to give you $50 for this in our theoretical flea market. If one thing positive has come from this purchase, it's that I'm finally going to clear out the Goodwill donations box I've got shoved into the corner of one room. It's the perfect place to hide this ugly tray table set so that none of our friends will ever see it.
