This is a nicely made product, which seems sturdy and snug. I like having the ability to link the cases together. By the way, nice touch including extra brackets. The stickers on which one writes the drive's information is too polished, not porous enough to allow ink to dry quickly. Handling the case too soon after writing on the labels results in severe smudging. For the price, I recommend these cases.

Every week, I back up my laptop hard drive by cloning it, making an exact copy on a 2.5" drive like the one in the laptop. I actually have two backup clones and alternate using them so that I have backups from the last two weeks. Storing the clones is necessary to prevent damage and this product solves that problem. I will be storing each drive and case in different places so that I can't lose both drives at once if I dropped the attached cases. The package says the cases are "quake" proof, but there isn't anything to prevent shock damage.The package says that the cases are anti-static, which is good, and I was concerned about this. It also says they are water and dust proof. This could be somewhat true as the case lid fits pretty well to the body. I wouldn't though it in the bathtub to test this theory, though.A possible concern is that the cases are slightly bowed in the center as might be expected for a "plastic" part that is not machined. Also, there are "ribs" on both sides of the inside. The combination of the bowing and the ribs "grip" the drive as it is inserted/removed. I'm somewhat concerned about this because you should avoid even touch the sides of a drive and surely avoid putting pressure on the drive. Time will tell if this is really a problem, but I would have preferred no pressure and an anti-static foam lining.A final "duh". The wrapper has a lot of very small black print describing features and things. Naturally, black print against the black case is unreadable. One thing I later read was that you're supposed to open both covers at the same time when the cases are connected to avoid damage to the feature that allows the cases to be connected! Since I didn't read this, so I opened just one cover! It was a little hard, but no damage was done.As noted, I won't be using the attachment feature but I would be concerned about using it anyway. You could be carrying a stack of drives around and one could come loose and hit the floor. All in all, this product is a good solution for my application, takes up very little room, and it cheap.

I do a fair amount of system rebuilding, and I use these to protect and store recycled drives for future use, and they perform their function perfectly. I have also purchased and used the larger ones for 5.25" drives. My only complaint is that I either have too many at any one time, or not enough, depending on how many systems I'm currently working on.

These cases are perfect for storing 2.5 hard drives. The set comes apart if you only want to carry one with you, or clips together securely if you want more than one. Most of the other cases I've seen a much bigger since they hold two drives in one opening. I like the compact size and being able to customize so I'm not carrying around empty space. Compact, well-built, does the job.

I've been using the 3.5" version of these for years, they're great for storing bare drives. The fact that these 2.5" models clip together is a nice touch.

Excellent container for long-term storage or transfer of HDD's. Could be a little less pricy.
