Perfect Jasmine tea!
This is the best Jasmine tea, smooth and the jasmine flavor is pronounced and delicious. Let it brew for at least Three minutes! So happy Amazon sells it as it is hard to find. I never liked Jasmine tea until I tried this one. I now have been using this brand for 20 years!

Bring Chinatown Home
One of my favorite pass times is the food challenge, whereby I try to recreate a particular eating-out experience at home. Sometimes it's a certain dish such as a signature creation of a local restaurant, and sometimes it centers around a dish or food item that truly defines an entertaining activity, such as recreating the exact flavor of theatre popcorn at home. In this case, it's that special tea that's served in the archetypal Americanized Chinese restaurants. I first tried to recreate the experience with the tea bags offered with our local Chinese take-out. While it certainly was unique and delicious, it simply didn't hit the mark. So I used my trusty search engine and landed on this particular Jasmine tea. This was a while back, and I cannot remember the reviews I read in very much detail, but I do recall one written by someone who stated that this tea mimics that served in the San Francisco area Chinese restaurants. Needless to say, I was all over that. I have since discovered that in order to mimic the specific Chinese tea that's ubiquitous in the New York City area, I would have to create a blend. Because the tea bags that come from our local take-out places are often labeled, "Oolong," I figured that would be a good place to start. Eureka! Jasmine and Oolong, infused together were my ticket to the archetypal flavor I'd sought for so long. Then all that was left was a a bit of a tweak to the proportions, which I am happy to share. The jasmine is the more subtle component in my Faux Chinese Restaurant Tea. So, I mix one part Sunflower Jasmine Tea 0.5 LB (227 g) with two parts Ti Kuan Yin Oolong (this is an example of one from the Fujian Province that appears to be similar to the one I use, Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea - Iron Goddess of Mercy ; the particular brand I use isn't offered here at the marketplace, but comes from a dedicated online tea company who does offer other products here including two other notable favorites : The Republic of Tea, Comfort & Joy Tea, 50-Count and Blackberry Sage Full-Leaf Loose Black Tea (3.5 oz), by The Republic of Tea (and can also be found by typing, "Ti Kuan Yin Full-Leaf," into Chrome, or the search engine of your choice). Although any infuser will do, I particularly like this one, Tovolo Tea Infuser, Red , because it keeps its own mess contained to its stand rather than on my counter, and it's pretty darn cute, too. I do tend to reinfuse, using the same batch of leaves. The trick, with this jasmine tea, is not to over-infuse. These leaves do not impart much color to the tea they produce, tempting one to infuse for longer periods of time. That is a mistake, though because any length of time over about 4 minutes brings out a bitterness I dislike. Go by flavor rather than color when experimenting to determine your own ideal infusion time. A final note about this product's packaging follows. I absolutely adore this tin! Beneath the well-fitting metal lid is an additional vinyl (or maybe it's silicone) lid that provides a better seal, yet is easily removed (and replaced) by way of a pull tab. The tin itself is actually worth the price of the entire product, as far as I'm concerned.

Excellent Green Tea!
I'm in love with this tea! I ordered it on a Thursday and it was here the following Monday. The scent of the jasmine flowers is so lovely and the flavor is very good. Getting a tea this good for this price is amazing, and half a pound of it, no less! I like that the tin comes with a seal to keep the tea fresh. I'll definitely be ordering this again in the future. I prepare this tea by heating water to 175F and steeping 2tsp until it's strong enough for me.

Bitter!! Dont buy
Super bitter. I can’t believe the good ratings, this stuff is almost undrinkable. I even pour hot water on it, toss that and then boil the tea to remove bitterness. But still pretty bad. Zero jasmin flavor.

Great Aroma, Good taste, and has been the same for years.
An inexpensive green teasold in markets everywhere. Green tea with jasmine flower overtones. It has a bit of a "bite" and for those that appreciate a little bitter in your tea, and is a great everyday drinking tea. I like it and have for years, and my wife does not because of its bitter overtones. Keep the empty can. So many teas come today just packed in bags and you can buy a can separately (or use this one again). It is ideal as it has a metal lid, and plastic lid inner lid that pulls off easily, and it is opaque steel (tea should be stored in an airtight light excluding container - and this one meets all the ideal conditions). Great value for a daily drinker
This tea is somewhat ubiquitous at most Asian markets or specialty stores. I find the taste very pleasant and the jasmine very nicely balanced. It's easy to abuse this tea with over-steeping with little-to-no ill effects. While it may not be a transcendent experience for tea drinkers, the cost per ounce for a very good jasmine tea puts it almost alone in a sacred category where price and flavor work together for the consumer's benefit. *As a side note to some of the reviewers who were shocked by this tea being green...good lord, go back to the CTC (cut torn crushed) bags of chemically oxidized and fermented crap you love so much and don't come back until you develop some taste. And knowledge of tea- for example- jasmine tea has been almost exclusively green for thousands of years. I don't mean to snob it up too hard, obviously I like this tea in part because it's a good deal...but my god...at least don't write an entire review about how ignorant you are about tea and how for some unfathomable reason you blame amazon.

Ok, but for a long-time, well-known brand, it should be better!
This tea was ok; it was a little better than a couple other brands I've tried. BUT, it needed more jasmine flavor and aroma, and at times is a little bitter, as if it had inferior components or twigs mixed in instead of just tea leaves. I am disappointed it wasn't better tasting for such a known brand!!

Lovely product. You feel energized and rejuvenated after having a cup of Jasmine flavoured green tea. The company should ensure adequate quantities of dried jasmine flowers are added to ensure continuity of the rich jasmine flavour. Overall product very good. Happy to use the same. Have been consuming since last 10 to 15 years.
