Brand new out of the box and the dummy does not launch far. This is my experience for what it is worth.First, before using, I read the directions/manual and read that the "RED" .22 Loads are not recommended!?! Why, because it wears out the launcher (The manual states not to use Red box .22 loads on multiple pages!) Would have been good to know before purchasing it. Well, ok, at first, I didn't use the Red loads that came as part of a "Package Deal" when I bought the launcher (that piece of information would have been nice to know before buying it). So, based on that, I ordered Green loads and was very disappointed with "actual" distance the launcher sent the dummy using the Green loads. The Green loads went anywhere from 25 to 35 yards, not even close to the recommendations. After several disappointing launches, I then tried the Red loads regardless of what the manual recommends; the dummy went 70 to 100 yards with Red .22 loads (I used a range finder and confirmed it.) I launched about 50 dummies(not at one time) with Red loads and it just doesn't live up to the product job description. Also, the .22 shell gets jammed every 2 to 3 launches. My dog is back to my side with the dummy before I can effectively eject the shell from the launcher.*At 55 years of age, I can use a "Chuckit" Stick and consistently through a tennis ball farther than the "Red" loads can launch the dummy.Here's a positive": My dog gets all excited hearing the loud bang and is ready to retrieve. Unfortunately, it doesn't actually launch the dummy far enough to give my dog(lab) a workout.

Works well in training my chocolate lab for retrieving. Preparing for duck hunting! The sound of the gun is helping my lab so that he isn't scared when he hears a gun shot in blinds. Great Pricing, Good Purchase! My Lab is retrieving the Dummy very well. The whistle is loud and good for teaching my dog commands as he is training.

I used to have one similar to this. This model kicks much less than the older one I had and works great launching the dummy an easy 200 plus feet.Downside is the dummy repels water so it does not take on scent easily. Will likely change that out.

It’s great quality and does what it says! Mine didn’t come with a yellowDummy though it came with white. I was bummed about that. But glad it came in! This is a great product!

This is great to train my dog to not be gun shy. It is louder than we expected for how small it is, but it is very easy to use! Definitely recommend this because it comes with everything you need to start, instead of having to buy it all separately.

This thing is AMAZING! Wish I had known of it when I got smoke as a pup 2 years ago...the red shooters dummy quite far..good practice for those of us that sail waterfowl...hehe..a great investment..definitely need to be cleaned and lubricated after use...just like a firearm.....to keep it shooting smooth
