The good thing about my case was that I was able to apply some thermal pad the the top and bottom of the SSD with no problem and actually helped me screw the SSD down a lot fast so can’t complain. With the amount they give you I was also able to apply some of the thermal pad to the enclosure controller and it fit in the enclosure with no gaps in the pad. Since this laptop started to have constant high fan output I knew it needed to be checked. There was also a dust clog on the end of the fan assembly so I took the cover off of the CPU fan (four tiny screws) and used a clean, soft paint brush to clean it.
