Classy, petite and elegant!
My wrist is really small and so finding metal watches (rather than leather or plastic) is pretty difficult since they always need adjusting. I had been searching for several days/weeks online (I wanted to make an informed decision) and came across this watch - I had wanted to have a mesh watch for quite some time but didn't want to go into stores during the pandemic. I wanted a small clock face and light strap. This watch is perfect - so easy to adjust the strap size and put on! Some other reviews said that the strap was really hard to adjust or easy to break - so long as you are careful, like any other watch, it'll be fine. I had it sorted in 5 minutes and I've never had a mesh strap before (though I did try one on once in a store several years ago) - just follow the instructions that come with it. I used a flat head screwdriver as recommended and that was super easy. Since my wrist is small, I adjusted it several times to get the exact right fit - each time was easy to adjust. In terms of setting the time, it is a little bit fiddly to turn the knob - you have to be quite precise and hold it firmly (I'd say it was more fiddly than the strap lol) but once it is set, you don't really have to worry about it again. It is still straightforward. The watch strap feels light (which is a must for me) but the watch still has that expensive, luxurious feel. The clock face is a bit weightier - at least for someone who has quite boney wrists like me - but it is still light by comparison to other watches I've had. If there was anything that might irritate you, if you're thinking about buying any watch with a mesh strap, the part of the strap which you adjust goes underneath the strap. e.g. unlike when you take the links out of a metal link watch, you don't get rid of the extra part of a mesh strap when you adjust it... instead, it goes underneath the strap. Hope that makes sense. It's not that big of a deal for me. It is quite minimalist but definitely makes a statement. I'd recommend this product based on wearing it today - I plan to use this watch everyday.

Wonderful, once you know how....
Things I love about this watch: - It is beautiful, very contemporary, stylish and very feminine. - It keeps excellent time. - It's a little bit different. - It is comfortable to wear, slimline and smooth. - Everytime I look at it, I feel pleased that I bought it. The things I was mildly miffed about: - No instructions re clasp use or strap length adjustment come with this watch. Clasp issues: - Nothing abnormal detected so far, no slipping, loosening or falling off...this was something that concerned me about the watch prior to purchase, as it seemed to be the only major complaint about it, however, I think if you adjust the strap so it is a reasonably snug fit (not so it cuts off circulation of anything, just so it's not flopping about on your wrist)the clasp actually works very well and is a clever design. Personally, I like to wear watches so they stay in one spot, so this arrangement suits me fine. Strap adjustment: It took me a while to work out how to adjust the length of the strap, but once you know how, it's no problem...So here's how: - Lay the watch on the table, face up, with the clasp end in the open position, pointing away from you. - You should see a small, rectangular hole situated on top of the sled mechanism (which acts as a jammer to stop the watch adjusting itself at random). - Using a small enough implement, eg. small scissors, or a screw driver from a lense repair kit, gentley lever up the sled mechanism by inserting whatever you are using for the job, and gentely pushing downwards. - There will be a small amount of resistence, but then it should pop up like a car bonnet and allow you to slide it into the prefered position. Once you've adjusted it, just push it back down firmly and it should lock back into place. I love this watch, it is my first Skagen watch, and I am very impressed! Hope this reveiw has been useful!

A Well Liked Watch
I thought a smart and trendy watch would be just the thing for the good lady's birthday and noticed that the Skagen brand, which I hadn't previously heard of. regularly cropped up when browsing online. Taking a look in some watch stores and jewellers it's presence there too allied to some great reviews suggested their watches were worth a closer look. There are dozens of different Skagen watches out there from current and past seasons collections so choosing one was difficult. In the end I settled upon this one given a combination of the price, the reviews, the look of the watch and being silver and relatively neutral meant it would go with many an outfit. The packaging when it arrived caused me concern I must admit. The white sleeve in which the box was covered was slightly grubby, there were marks where tape had previously been and it had obviously been opened in the past. I wondered if I was being sold a return, and if so why had it been returned? Perhaps it had simply been opened for QC purposes, I don't know, but seeds of doubt were sewn. As for the actual watch itself. Lovely! Has a classy, trendy look and happily the good lady took to it instantly. It has kept time perfectly and has been complimented on a couple of occasions the missus has worn it. Securing the fastener at the optimum point on the strap as has been mentioned is quite a task and without the instructions very kindly listed by another reviewer I fear the wife and I might have given up. But all things considered, it's been a good buy and a well liked gift.

Elegant, yet reasonably priced
I first saw a Skagen watch three years ago when visiting Bath and purchased it for my wife as a Christmas present. That same watch is still going strong and has been worn on a daily basis and shows little sign of wear, even the mineral glass is virtually scratch free. I saw this watch and felt another Christmas moment coming on, particularly as my wife has become very fond of rose gold over the past few years and has a number of pieces of jewellery now manufactured in that material. I would add that this watch is just plated, however, it will match nicely with her other items. So what do you receive? Out of the packing is a gift box containing the watch: the watch is very much Scandinavian and minimalistic design, however the size and shape I think are made more feminine through the thin watch body and strap. From a aesthetic perspective, whilst quite reasonably priced, the watch is very stylish and could be worn equally as a daily watch, or as an elegant accessory for a more formal setting. As a man, I feel it exudes style. The watch face is clear and simple to read: a case of less means more. It is what it is, something to tell the time. The stainless steel strap is easy to adjust and once familiar with the clasp is simple to close securely. If you want a watch, which is simple, very reasonably priced, durable yet elegant, you would be well to consider this product. It comes with a 2 year warranty as standard and purchasing from Amazon costs considerably less than it did from a jeweller in Bath! Highly recommended for those for who watches don’t have to be expensive to look great.

Elegant and comfortable
I was attracted to this watch because the combination of steel and yellow gold makes it very adaptable. The face was a bit smaller than I expected, I thought it would be about the size of a £2 coin but it's just a bit bigger than a 10p. That said, the face is clear and easy to read, and I love the minimalistic look (no numbers, just tiny crystals). I was a bit wary of the clasp after reading other reviews as I sometimes have trouble with my grip, but after looking up how to adjust and close the strap online (the pictures and print in the booklet are miniscule) I found it easy to adjust and it's very secure when closed in a 3-step action. It was hard to open at first but after a couple of times it was easier - either I got the hang of it or it eased, either way it's not a problem now, and I know I don't have to worry about it coming undone when I don't want it to . I wore it all day yesterday and it was so comfortable that I forget I had it on - it's very lightweight and the mesh strap means it's flexible and cool. Very smart and good value too

A beautiful Skagen watch.
An chic and elegant ladies watch. I didn't want a large, clunky one, and this is perfect. Delicate & great for my small wrists. A matt black strap with silver toned mountings.

Lovely but too expensive for replacement parts.
From the moment I received this watch I absolutely loved it. It looks much more expensive than it is, and remains unscratched several years after I bought it. Without doubt it is the nicest watch I have owned in over 50 years. When I originally bought the watch I gave it 5 stars but I have now changed this to a 1 star review, and I have to say I would not buy a Skagen watch again. I wear the watch every day and the clasp only seems to last about 18 months at most. After a while it gets very loose and does not 'click' firmly into place. It is only possible to buy a replacement from Skagen and that costs about £25. So the second time it went I took the watch to an old-fashioned independent jeweller in London who does repairs on the premises. He only charged £2 to bend the fastening back into place. The second thing that has really annoyed me is the problem with replacement batteries. I asked my husband to take it to a jewellers in Manchester. He tried 5 different jewellers. Most wanted to send it back to Skagen rather than replace the battery but my husband was told it would take 6 weeks for Skagen to return it. Eventually he found a jeweller who would replace it for £25! Apparently the problem is that it needs to be re-sealed each time. This is just too much hassle for a relatively cheap watch. It means every year or so you could spend £25 to replace the clasp or the battery.
