I can sit in front of these all day
From what I understand, there are flat/accurate monitors which can quickly fatigue one's ears, and there are flat/accurate monitors that one can/wants to sit in front of all day/night. What I don't understand is why anyone would ever choose the former.Accurate monitors, pumping out sound as beautiful as what you give them. It really is amazing to be able to hear the subtle changes I make in a mix (amateur/hobbyist,) moving sounds about the stereo field. Auto power off feature works like a charm. In my research, I discovered this feature wasn't always implemented so well, but it's perfect now. And maybe I just have a higher noise floor in my "studio," (lol) but I don't hear any hiss that some folks mention. It's perfectly normal to hear hiss from a reference monitors, as they stay permanently cranked up, but I've not been able to discern one yet. Could also be because I'm pumping sound through them nearly all the time, and when I'm not, I'm walking around deaf from the last session. (Just kidding, mostly, but indeed these monitors get as loud as anybody could likely want them.) I love the clean, solid aesthetic. They feel sturdy, clearly of quality construction, when you pull them out of the box. They're stunners to look at, when you get them positioned. And they are the beautiful truth, when you send a signal to them. I did have an issue with one of my monitors when I first got them, which is just my luck. KRK have insanely low return rate, and when I presented my issue, both KRK, and Front Row were ready to solve the issue immediately. I'm feeling these things so much, I'd put up with them even if I had to return one once a month, but that certainly isn't the case. Monitors doing some work for me, and going strong to this moment. I haven't even touched the knob on the back. Flat is bangin. Plug em in, switch em on, and love. I'm sure i'll eventually tune them, when the app is released. So if you're looking at these, it's hard to come up with a single reason why you'd pass them up. I'm trying to make it easy for you: You've found them, "the ones." Unmatched bang to buck$ ratio.

These are fantastic.
These are from my work from home setup.... upgrading from some cheaper monitors I purchased years ago. Really pleasant, well-rounded sound.... everything sounds so good!

Thanks for not clearly stating this is ONE speaker only! AMAZON?
The quality of the speakers are excellent, as they were intended for my audio-centric son who is a musician, composer, and really knows sound, recording, and music with multiple degrees. HOWEVER, Amazon should make it PERFECTLY DAMN CLEAR that this is for ONE, single, speaker. I mean who would think they sell speakers or monitors individually? Not cool, Amazon…the price was not the issue and I would have gladly bought two IF I KNEW I NEEDED TO DO SO. Thanks for making one of his Christmas gifts have as good as it should have been. Deception or poor description, you be the judge. Now he is buying the second one himself.

Noisy and short lived
I have purchased two sets of these monitors. I love the clarity and accuracy of their sound in my studio BUT, it you are using them as near field monitors, you will hear hiss when they are not producing sound. This is not a grounding issue and it happens even when they are disconnected. Also, two out of the four monitors have died. They have a design flaw that allows components to overheat and they eventually exhibit a power issue before dying altogether. KRK was kind enough to send me a new circuit board for the first dead monitor. I am currently sitting next to the second failed one but I have not bothered to contact KRK.

These are the real deal.
Awesome monitors. The best for home/small studio use on the market. Be sure to use the KRK app to dial-in the best EQ settings, and even speaker angle: It really does make quite a big difference.

50% Failure Rate! Buyer Beware!
The media could not be loaded. After having a 7 inch KRK monitor “die” on me years ago, I decided to give KRK a 2nd chance. I regret doing so! I have learned my lesson. I will never buy another KRK product as long as I live.I am very gentle on my studio monitors. They never experience high volume. They are always powered through a power conditioner and surge protector.Nonetheless, one of these 7 inch monitors died after two years of ownership. This is ridiculous!Theyse are barely adequate monitors anyway, and have a grating high frequency bias compared to my Adam Audio A7X monitors that cost three times as much. They self-noise on these is also quite loud, so get ready for tape-like signal to noise ratio even when these do work properly.

Amazing sound quality, less volume required
I bought this as a gift for our son who is doing music production. He previously had speakers that he would turn up super loud to try to hear all the sound nuance, which resulted in vibration and too much noise. These monitors are a whole different experience -- the sound is so crisp and clear, and he's able to hear subtle aspects so much better that volume is probably half what he used before, with no distortion or vibration like his prior speakers. He says these are so good he probably will use these in his career for years to come, so a great buy!

They're good when they work.
These keep going out on me. Or the back screen will flicker. Gibson is good about replacing them but it just gets old. I've gone through 4 speakers now. All setup and protected by Furman surge protectors only for them to go out completely after a power outage. Fuses never popped. Speakers stopped working.
