From the manufacturer Product Description The Positive Drive Fins (PDFs) use a unique ellipsoidal blade to generate correct propulsion in all swim strokes. Traditionally fins are not made for breaststroke, but the asymmetrical shape and adjustable heel strap allow the swimmer to safely build power in the breaststroke kick. The short and wide blade design also promotes a natural inward supination kick style for backstroke, butterfly and freestyle. The PDFs use an ergonomic foot pocket to comfortably place the feet in the ideal swimming position, and the heel strap to secure the fin, allowing the feet to flex more naturally. A closed-toe construction provides superior energy transfer from the leg to the foot. A key in breaststroke is to catch water by your soles (and calves). The equipment tells you how to move your legs and feet to achieve this effectively. My 50m breaststroke time was improved from 36s to 32s in a year! Because the toe of the fine is not open, the fin gets too tight during training and I have to stop to loosen it. This is the only downside for me.

**Q: I need replacement rubber straps for my positive idrive fins. Anyone had to do same and where did you get the rubber strap**
A: Just looked at this The Strap is $10 the postage is $45.  Cheaper to by new fins.  Shame there is no European support for their goods.

**Q: Do they fit true to size? I'm 38 (eur) and can't decide whether to go for one size smaller, worry that my feet may feel too loose in 38 - 40.**
A: true to size and quite neat so should go for 38-40. happy swimming!

**Q: I bought these already, but find they rub my toes very badly. I was considering buying socks to use with them. Does anybody have any recommendations?**
A: Try a thin layer of vasaline or loosen the back straps a little.

I bought XL size but for my 43 size feet fins were tight hurting toes so I had to cut out holes for toes. When kicking breaststroke fins (because of their special shape, I think) are twisting knee joints stronger than the same kick without fins and this is not safe for my sensitive knees so I use the fins only for free style or butterfly kick.
