This is a substantial locking set. the receiver latch lock will adjust to length needed to prevent extra wiggle and is thicker than expected. Both a 1/2 inch short trailer hitch lock and a sleeve to for use on 5/8 inch diameter AS WELL AS a longer 5/8 inch trailer hitch lock. The main piece for locking the hitch to prevent people from driving off with your trailer is very substantial. Allowed me to lock up my safety chains and has a plastic guard to prevent dirt from getting in the locking mechanism. The barrel style keys are sturdy and I don't expect them to be damaged or break. I did put a small amount of lubricant on all working parts to try to prevent rust issues since that seemed to be the main complaint that people had.

I bought this lock set and it seems very secure. I love the fact that they are all keyed alike. I don’t need more keys to keep track of! Several months after receiving this set the coupler lock wouldn’t lock. I called TriMax Customer Service and got right through to a live person. I explained the problem and they directed me to fill out a warranty form on their website. I filled out the form and explained that the malfunctioning lock was from a keyed alike set and gave them the key number. A week or so later I received the replacement, no questions asked, and keyed to match the other locks. It’s very refreshing to have such an easy experience with a company!

I love that they're keyed alike. The one complaint is that the coupler lock is hard to line up in the assigned grooves and you can't just lock it and have it slide until it hits a groove. You have to be lined up to get it to lock. Otherwise, I love the set.

The product arrived on time. The tongue lock was actually quite a bit sturdier than I expected given the price. They sent plenty of keys. The finish seems like it will hold up. I’m looking forward too using it.

My trailer was recently stolen, once it was recovered and the thief arrested it was determined that the thief had a key to another TriMax TCP100 set that he used to unlock my lock. I had already purchased a new lock prior to hearing the above info so I tried the new key on the old receiver pin and it unlocked it. If purchasing this lock I highly suggest using additional means of securing your trailer such as a boot.

Needed these locks for my utility trailer, easy to lock up now, hopefully a deterrent for theft.

Nice product to help secure my tool trailer. So far, no one's stolen it or attempted to break the lock devices. If they do, at least I'll know I tried something I am thinking about putting one of the tracker devices on it as well.

We loved this set for ease of use with one key for all of our locking needs, but the receiver lock rusted in less than 2 years. The cover that was over the key hole worked well. The lock still works, but the rust could be a safety issue. We ordered a new one, stainless steel with a cap over the key hole. Unfortunately it will have a different key. We still use the other locks that came with this set.

There are some reviews here saying that the item is plastic, this is partially true. There is a ballistic nylon cover over the steel body of the lock. This is to protect that actual body of the lock. A couple of reviews also state that you have to have the key turned in order to lock the trailer ball lock, this is true. But it makes perfect sense to me because if you put the lock on backwards, you may be unable to get the key into the lock depending on your trailer hitch.Bought this set for my new trailer, ended up with SIX keys, each item came with a pair. So I have more keys that I really know what to do with.Love it, it feels nice and secure and gives me that peace of mind knowing my $35,000 investment isn't going to roll away.PROS- Nice and solid construction- Heavy duty locks- Came with 6 (yes SIX) keysCONS- No so far. Seems like a solid purchase!

Let's face it, if someone really wants your trailer, they'll get it. But these little devices may make them move onto the next trailer that may not have them. It's a deterrent for the amateur thief but the pros will no doubt be able to circumvent most to these. They are very solid, my only complaint, I bought the puck locks and the locking wheel chocks from the same company and it would have been nice if all devices could have been keyed alike. All three use different type keys.

Would have given it 5 starts if there was more protection from the weather on the keyed parts. Love that there is one key for all the locks. makes it easy to set up and tear down....
