This is excellent for patching vinyl liner pools. Our pool liner has a manufacturing defect and is splitting above the water line. This patch has helped it from splitting even worse. We'll get through this pool season without replacing the liner thanks to this patch. I sure could use a 4ft long section of this stuff!!😉

Amazing product. Make to sand and clean the area with alcohol. Very happy.

Cleaned the area that need the patch. Waited till perfectly dry. Applied the patch and waited another two days to be sure. I used the hot tub 1 time and it seemed fine. The next time I noticed the patch pulling away, and the leak began again. Do not spend the money on these patches.

Tried some of this over a split that had developed around a 2" pipe feeding one of the pumps. At first it seemed to do the trick but after about a day the patch balooned up a little to allow a water path and water leaking again. Pressed it back into place (stopping the leak temporarily) and then stuck a larger patch over the existing. Failed soon after same way. I think these patches would probably work fine for a small pinhole perhaps or on the shell internal (as water pressure pushing into the patch) but anywhere there is enough pressure and heat it will push this open.I ended up removing the patches, cutting thru the 2" flex pipe and bought a rubber slip type connector from the hardware store with hose clamps on both sides. The flex pipe was rigid enough to where I could clamp down on both sides with enough pressure against the pipe ends. No flow restriction with this solution.Prior to the rubber slip connector I bought an internal magic mend PVC connector that could be glued inside the pipe (some flow restriction over stock diameter). However, that would not fit without major sanding and the flex pipe break was on a curved section of the layout so planning to return that. There was really no room to get that connector in place properly vs the rubber connector which could slip back on one pipe then forward to the other section of pipe, then clamp. Much easier and cleaner solution.Giving 3 stars due to my experience but Spa Depot is a great company and have purchased many products from them in the past. Great support as well, this particular application just managed to push the limits of what the patches are capable of. I do think the best application of this patch is when water pushes into it from the top of the patch vs water pushing into the patch. Hope this helps someone.

have an ABS plastic Rotomold hot tub. use this tape on the interior to seal 2 cracks. Worked great for about a year and a half then had to redo it. Worth it.

We actually had 2 different leak issues with our spa, so I thought I would give Spa Bond a try. The first was a drippy leak in one of the flex pipes inside the spa cabinet. We located a pinhole leak near a pvc fitting, cleaned it well, and applied one of the small size patches being careful to fully press it into place. Amazingly, that drip stopped completely! The other issue was a hairline crack in our spa shell, right below the waterline. The spa store told us that repairs would be very expensive or impossible. We drained some water from the spa, cleaned the area, and applied a trimmed patch. Worked perfect there too!Pros:Clear patches are perfect for spa shell repairs because you can hardly see it. Very strong adhesive for other leaks too. No messy liquids to mix.Cons:The adhesive bond is very strong, so you have to be careful to place the patch in the right place the first time. It is very difficult to remove a patch once placed, and the bond apparently gets even stronger over time. Fortunately there are several patches in the package, and they can be trimmed with scissors.Overall I rate it 5 stars because it is the best leak repair patch we have ever used and worth every penny.

My hot tub had a 6 inch crack on the bottom that was allowing water to slowly leak out. I emptied the tub, cleaned the surrounding area with rubbing alcohol, applied a couple of these patches over the crack, and then refilled it. It’s been several weeks, and the patches are still holding tight. So far, so good!

Used on my hot tub after a few days it starts to unglued.
