Can this item cross over a concrete driveway full of water without damaging the aerator spikes?

I would not recommend that at all. With water, that is quite a lot of weight. You could easily break the weld on the spike or damage your driveway. I purchased a small dolly with casters for around $25.00 on Amazon, I use that so I can store the aerator in my garage. I only fill it with water once I'm on the lawn and empty it before placing it on the dolly to roll it in the garage and store it until I need it again.

Has anyone with a lawn sprinkler system used it? If so, what precautions if any were taken and what was the result?

I've used the aerator 3 times now. And have not had to replace any of my sprinkler heads. My lines are about 8 inches deep. And I have not had to repair any lines. The first time I used the aerator, I did not fill with water. I found it does a better job when filled. And I marked the drum to tell me when the plug is on top to get the max fill of water. It has done a great job. I also plan my use of the aerator before the fertilizer tech comes and spray's the lawn. It has really made a difference. The lawn stays greener longer and I am having to mow more frequently. About every 5 day's instead of every 7day. I hope this has answered your question. Upon delivery make sure the nuts and bolts are with the aerator before the driver pulls away. They will not just send you the nuts and bolts. They insist on delivering a new aerator. With pick up of the first one first. Took about 4 days for the 2nd one to arrive. But I do not have any complaints on the product.
