BobelockStudent 1007SV 4/4 Violin Case: Black Exterior & Wine Velvet Interior with Suspension

Bought it for travel purposes
I bought this for my back-up violin because I've seen it advertised as an overhead compartment-friendly case for air travel. I haven't flown with it yet, but it certainly seems lightweight and compact enough. It's also quite sturdy, just like my other, larger Bobelock. I use silk bags to weather-proof my instruments, and there seems to be just enough room for the violin to fit snugly in with the bag (for what it's worth, this violin is somewhat broad in the shoulders compared to others I've played, and the bag is a heavy silk brocade). It doesn't really seem to have two actual bow holders, though, as none of my bows will fit in the top slot (space is too short). They will fit in the lower bow holder without any trouble. The end compartment holds my rosin and microfiber cloth with some room to spare. The pouch on top is much too small for sheet music, so I've placed my shoulder rest, pencils, and some other small accessories into it instead. Be advised, this case does not come with a strap. I had to order that separately.

#1 violin case
Very good looking case. And nearly indestructible. A little heavy, but not so much so that it hurts to carry around - even for a 10 year old. And if that 10 year old is very active, this is DEFINITELY the case for them! We actually own 4 Bobelock cases and it is my default. Best made affordable case I've come across.
