I spoke with alot of plumbers and even kinetico and they are say to shy away from cheap water softerner such as this one. And espeically things sold at homedepot. (However, i did not take their advice and went for this unit which is significantly cheaper than the stuff plumber and kenetico sells.) So far, I got it install fairly easy and up and running for around 1 week now. THe water is definitely SOFT and silky while showering. Great unit. However, plumbers says these units are not reliable so we will have to see. But basis on my initial impression, this unit is SUPER well made. Solid. I just feel like it will be a reliable unit but time will tell. 1 Year update - I am SO THRILL with both the water softerner and RO filter. They have been holding up great. NO problems what so ever. All I have to do is add salt to the softerner. I do have water hardness test and PPM test for the RO water. Water is always soft and the RO system water is about 16 PPM.

Great value system, that is being installed today in our old outdoor pump and week shed. Cost of install $1,200. The System arrived in great shape, but much later than quoted- so don’t book plumber until it actually arrives. They also don’t mention you need to separately order the specified 80 to 100lbs of course salt. I will update this review after install. Update: October 2025 Installed by two plumbers in about 5 hours for $1,275 — a great deal I think. I now have great soft tasting water and filtered drinking water in the kitchen. Will update again in 6 months and in 12 months.

I purchased and installed (very simple and straightforward process) this system in July of 2021 and we have been very pleased! I recently had an issue with the RO system after changing the filters, contacted customer service, and was extremely happy with the interactions! The rep took my purchase information and some of the information about the problem, and emailed me a few questions to answer. I actually replied to the email with pictures of the system that answered the questions which apparently was enough information for the technician to understand the problem and know what I needed. They immediately processed an order for replacement parts and I received them in short order. In less than 30 minutes, I replaced the parts and we were back up and running!

Both systems come with all the filters and resin installed. The main soft water tank is really heavy requires 2 people to move. Instructions outside of the unit on connection not really clear. ¾ water heater connection hoses will be used in most residential also ask for the ¾ connectors most houses use ¾ pipes in the house. Drain hose is ½ in with decent length but drain needs to next to system. RO has no mention on how to clean the systems and uses filters that are about the same price as a new RO the dispenser head drips once in a while. Chrome plated plastic, check tank pressure as it mentions in instructions 5-10psi. Ensure all the hoses are seated all the way should be 2 hard movement into holders. RO water seems to be decent at times it has a lot of air bubbles making the water cloudy.

Got this during Christmas and was easy to set up and had a plumber come out for the pipes. Best value for the price

Nice soft and clean water! I purchased a Rainsoft system years ago for $5400 and loved it! Worked great to this day. Recently sold that house and the new home had moderately hard water. Myself and my kids, who were raised on other water softener, started noticing horribly dry skin at the new home. So after weighing the pros and cons of moving the old system to the new house ($1000 from rainsoft) I opted to buy a new less expensive option on Amazon and just outsource the labor to a plumber. I am not a plumber. Sharkbites and various options make it very easy for the average handy person to install. The new house was plumbed in such a way that I decided not to mess with the aggravation of figuring it out myself and paid a plumber $500 (which included parts) easily justifiable seeing as I saved so much compared to buying it retail from a local company. Customer support was amazing in helping my dial in the programable dispaly. All around very happy with the system so far!

Aquasure sent me a 3/4" manifold that was needed for free since it comes with 1". Directions are easy to understand and there is a video explaning each function. Due to my house builder and plumber not knowing where the house water manifold is, we tied into our water heater. Flavor of the water is much better too. The pic with results is hot (softened) vs cold (not softened). Dishes are clearer, laundry feels softer, not shower scum buildup... great buy and saved us $6500 from having someone else do it.

Lasted one year in the dot after first change of filters BAM! Down hill Called for support they beat around with what issues could be almost as if they already know it doesn’t last over one year. Three plumbers and $600 later it’s still not working or workable Just bought a new one paid a little more hopping better service and product
