Good value for Money,good processing speed and storage more than most priced anywhere similarly. But this drive just constantly has this terrible noise as if its working in background searching for files as the early computers did back in the 1980s (last century). It Never stops with this grinding noise when turned on, even when the computer is not being used. The only time it stops is when it is turned off.I would of given this purchase 5 stars except for the 24/7 unacceptable grinding noise I'm afraid it sounds like its just about to lose its drive operation. If you have headphones or earbuds and want to listen to music or something , then this would work good for you. If other people around or trying to read, get a newer laptop or something better.I would recommend this for a home computer that is used for limited hours per day or less ,or even a home office where the computer is used intermittently but not left on, but not for work where others are near.They should really include a diagram for assembling connections or minimal instructions. Only 'instruction' included was a small insert from the cd supplier for WIFI and bluetooth hook up.\The output audio is very poor and weak. plan on using earbuds or buying your own speakersAfter a few weeks, I will tel you that the grinding noise is actually about as loud as the poor audio volume on the unit max. This goes back and forth for a while and the result was that it was a bad power supply and guess what? That is not covered in the warranty. Ok. I'm not happy, but i'm not furious. The technician was "nice enough" to send me a link to the bad part so I can order it on Amazon. I order the part and it costs me about $40, no big deal. Well, it takes forever to get here, I finally get around to putting it in the machine - I open up the case and...IT IS THE WRONG PART. I look at the model number, sure enough the technician sent me a link to the wrong part. Now the new company does not want to take it back, I finally got my return authorized and I have to PAY for the return and now find the right part. This is absolute BS. I NEED A COMPUTER NOW. I bought this machine in NOVEMBER 2019 and it died at the end of February. For them not to cover a faulty power supply is unforgivable. I am retired and living on a fixed income. There is no way I could afford to buy a new Dell OPTIPLEX Desktop tower with Monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
