I'll assume it's accurate - it seemed to measure the SG of my distilled water at 1.00 by line of sight. I make fruit wine and cider for vinegar production so it's not an essential tool but it's very nice to be more exacting when trying to set up to get a potential 12% ABV for the wine/cider step. If only measuring acidity was this simple. For the money, it's a great value. The measuring tube is sturdy and stable. It's reasonably easy to clean - not as easy to dry. The hydrometer itself is easy enough to read and simple to clean. The whole set is glass though and likely rather fragile. The box it comes in is very protective though I may find/make a wooden box sized to hold the inserts this came with.
