(At 5'2" I'm fairly short even by standard kimono measurements.). Unfortunately, after being washed and put on, the kimono is no longer big enough to wrap around my 44" size 16 hips and stay closed in the front when I sit down. (Yes, I do know how to put on a kimono properly, that's not the problem.) I really want to replace the 15 year old kimono I bought in Japan and have worn to shreds. Sadly this one is going to have to be passed on to someone else.Hey seller, is there any chance that this or another of your kimono patterns is available with more width? It was shipped extremely fast from Japan and arrived within a few days. I got the Large solely for the length as I am 5'9". I usually wear a 10/12. When it first arrived I thought it was a little too big BUT since it's being used as a robe (which is what a yukata is used for), I figured no biggie. I washed it and it did shrink some, after all it is cotton. But it shrank perfectly for me and I didn't lose any of the length! The only negative, if even that, is the belt is a little short - it would have been perfect if it was, perhaps, another 6" longer. BUT still ties well.
