DHP Vermont Metal Futon Frame, Classic Design, Full Sized - Black

I have cats so I like the metal frame. It holds up very well and once it is assembled it is very strong. You have to be in good physical condition to raise and lower it when transforming it into a bed from a sofa so I don’t recommend getting this if you have physical issues. I am an average size female over the age of 50 and I am able to transition this on my own but it’s a bit of a workout. The frame is strong and I liked it well enough so that I own two of it. Putting this together Is definitely a process and it points the instructions could be clearer but it can be assembled by one person if necessary.

Product has been very sturdy since setting it up, I've had no issues thus far. Took about 30 minutes to setup (if you don't have a battery powered screwdriver it will take about 1 hour). Love the little handles in the front that keep it from slipping. This is probably the best you're going to get with a futon frame. The last one I got slowly fell apart, with this one I haven't had the same problem. If any issues arise I will update the review.Edit August 6th, 2024: Ended up throwing it away to get a normal couch once I had the budget for it. But overall I liked this futon frame, no issues like the bars breaking under the cushions (I’ve seen that with every futon I buy). I am satisfied with my purchase, and I recommend this couch frame for people on a budget.

If your looking for something that will get the job done without shelling out a bunch of money this works. This is a basic cheap futon frame I used it for guests and worked very well, it didn't fall apart so thats good. Downside is that because i bought a heavier futon mattress with coils it was a little tricky to fold from flat to upright but since im not going to be doing this all the time its not a problem for me. Overall I like it and at a price i found acceptable.

FEBRUARY -It was pretty confusing putting together because of the instructions and pictures being on a piece of paper definitely has a lot of trial and errorAlso it sinks in the middle quite a bit when you lay it down to sleep in doesn't seem that sturdy it's still standing for me I've had it for about a month or two give or take nothing horribly wrong with it but you definitely get what you pay forSEPTEMBER - So it's now completely broken I have it propped up against the wall if you watched the video you can see it broken in multiple places where the nuts and bolts are I use it everyday due to sleeping arrangements with my kids so yeah about 3 months in to having it it sank really bad into the middle there were no signs of damage before it broke was somewhat happy with it until a few days ago when it first started to bend them it completely broke while I was sleeping so all in all remember you get what you pay for definitely wouldn't recommend should have spent a little bit more money and gotten better quality DON'T BELIEVE THE STARS ON THIS RATING I did thought maybe people who were warning me about this were mistreating the product apparently they weren't

Not heavy, great for daily use

VERY hard to assemble. The manual contains information but it is very tricky and you can make mistakes easily. The holes for the main support are oval rather than circular, providing more margin of error. The finish was okay, but skewed to one side because of that. The seat does not fit or fold evenly as a result.

My wife and I had a spare futon mattress laying around (it's a long, pointless story), so we bought this frame for our guest bedroom/den/office. We were reluctant at first since the only posted review at the time of purchase was extremely negative, but it was by far the cheapest frame on Amazon, so we pulled the trigger. The box that the the frame arrived in is surprisingly compact, so it's easy to move to your desired location before assembly. The final verdict: the directions were very clear, all the nuts and bolts were present, and the supplied wrench and Allen key did the job just fine (you'll need your own Phillips head screw driver). I had it together within a couple of hours (more competent people could probably do it in less), and I'm sitting on it right now. It's no frills, but if you're in the market for the cheapest futon frame on the market, I'm not really sure if aesthetic value is your goal.

Needed a cheap thing to sit on and this has been the easiest assembly of my move ,instructions are clear and I was able to put this together myself in about 30ish minutes (would have been quicker but the nuts have a nylon insert that I couldn’t hand tighten so had to use the wrench and key) also bonus they ship extra screws and parts

Bought this for my sons room and it was easy to put together and it’s heavily weighted mattress

A little bit difficult to assemble. Two persons are needed. You will also need a H. Phillips screwdriver that is not included. The price is fair and you get a practical lght-weighed piece of forniture.

Bars came bent when opened, both bends are inconsistent and not meant to be there. Product coming damaged and already has very little/poor reviews. Would recommend spending extra money and getting something higher quality

great futon for the price. not too hard to put together. sturdy but also light weight, compared to leather sofas and such. great purchase.
