4 x 4L - 16L Light Barrettine Creocote Creosote Litre Fence Wood Treatment Waterproof

I've been 'creosoting' for 50 years since my father encouraged me to help him with our fences at home. In ever instance I've used a brush to apply the preservative. This time, I bought a Pressure Sprayer to try spraying it on. Finally rinsing it with warm clean water.I shall not go back to a brush!!

Used this on some garden sleepers. They look great. Product easy to use and highly effective

Have used creocote before. Though it says 'light' with a couple of coats it is a fairly dark brown. Inexpensive, easy to apply and made my, grey, weather bleached fence look like new.

The light colour of the product is probably the nearest to original fencing colour when new, if your fencing has become pale and lost it's colour and this product brings out the grain of the wood.It used to be diesel-based and whilst the smell was stronger, it produced a more durable finish. It is now parrifin-based and whilst it smells less, it is a thinner liquid and seems to lose it's colour far more quickly after application, than the old product.But still much better than water-based fence treatments if you have good, but faded fencing. Not suitable if you want to cover up unsightly or dark coloured existing fencing.

I always buy this product from a DIY store that was round the corner from my home. But since it is no longer in business, I have looked around and found it cheaper from you. Product is very good, it dose the job and I find it better that any other preservative that only colour the wood.

I absolutely love creocote and use it for everything, decking, fences, gates, sheds.. I love the light brown colour. It adjusts to whatever colour is underneath. I used it on top of old worn red cedar on my sheds and fences. They turned out a beautiful mid reddish brown. I apply it with a £10 garden pressure sprayer in next to no time. Worth every penny.

The ad offers Barrettine light brown creocote. They send Bartoline which is a different shade compared to Barrettine. I already had some Barrettine and now have different shaded fence panels. Thanks for nothing.

What they sent and what i got was completely different. Turned out the right colour for a minute so they were lucky.
