SlimTALK Talking Bathroom Scale by Detecto- 400lb Weight Capacity

Okay so on this journey we call life I needed a new scale to help me keep myself accountable. This scale is so accurate and it talks aloud so you don’t have to look down and add more weight to the scale. lol. But no I’m all seriousness I love this scale so much I bought another 1 for my mother in her place. She loves it as well. Easy set up and easy use. Perfect for a scale.

Love this scale. My dad had this scale at his house and had to get one for myself. Nice and roomy to stand on making it easy to keep your balance. Digital numbers are large making them easy to see. Definitely recommend this scale.

Updated review, after a few weeks of use: I was originally storing this scale in a vertical position in a cabinet. I think this didnt allow the strain gauges to remain in a relaxed state, and affected the measurements. Now that i am keeping it in a horizontal state, the measurement consistency is fantastic. Original review: I am pleased with its thin profile, ability to control the talking feature, the easily replaceable batteries (3xAAAs),and ability to be used on both hard flooring and carpet. I am, however, disappointed with its accuracy. Between pm and am measurements, it regularly shows me as losing ~5lbs… a bit unlikely, as other scales reliably show ~2 lb overnight loss. Even worse, it shows my husband as gaining 5 lbs…. Overnight? Not possible. It does seem to have relatively stable measurements, by which i mean that if i weigh myself at the same time each day, those measurements are pretty consistent…. Within 0.1 lbs.

I was unable to use this scale on a carpet because the carpet feet could not be attached. One of the holes that they were supposed to go into is blocked. I repeatedly contacted Amazon and the manufacturer, to no avail. Though this item is labled as being sold by Amazon, I am being told that it came from another seller and I can't get any information on how to reach that seller. At this point, the only thing I can do is dispute the sale with VISA and refuse payment. Needless to say, if the scale won't lay flat on my carpet and give an accurate reading, it is completely useless. UPDATE - Since the seller -- whoever it may be -- apparently cannot handle a simple even exchange, I ultimately returned the scale, using Amazon's normal process for a credit to my charge card. Then I re-purchased it, for about a dollar more. (The price on this item seems to be constantly changing. And both took longer to ship than the seller claimed.) If there was another metal scale being sold for anything close to this price, I would have bought it instead. Also, be aware that, though it is made of a heavy metal, that metal is covered by plastic that seems to be pretty thin (especially around the edges). The first one I receive has some scratches in that area. The replacement scale has not yet arrived. ANOTHER UPDATE - When I finally got a replacement, it was quite impressive. Big, illuminated numbers. (I never use the voice feature.) Even the carpet feet work. Nice to have a scale that is not made of glass, so I can't crack it if I move it or drop it. Not many like this on the market these days.

The scale is easy to use, just stand on it and it tells you your weight verbally. It is also very stable and easy to stand on. Grandma loves it.

I love this scale. It is great for patients who are vision impaired or unable to look down at the scale because it will say your weight out loud. You can turn this feature off. This scale comes in an XL version as well that can go up to 550lbs. We have both the standard and XL. I would recommend this product!

good scale but this is my second one because one of the feet broke. it happened with the replacement too
