1/3 of the vet’s price & works quickly for dry/itchy/flakey puppy skin!
Not sure if my rescue beagle Snoop or I love this more! He was very itchy when we brought him home and despite coconut oil in his food and on his skin he could not get any relief. After a trip to the vet once his skin started to get flakey, she gave us this as a prescription (which I paid $35 for at the vet’s office) and told me he Snoop should feel relief in 2-3 weeks. It was about 10 day after that I noticed my puppy was no longer scratching and nipping himself all day and night. This was of course a relief but I didn’t want to pay the vet’s price and Amazon saved the day!!I give Snoop one capsule per day l, with his breakfast. His diet is dry kibble for the most part so I do I twist the top of the capsule to break if and squeeze out the oil onto the kibble. He doesn’t seem to mind that it’s there and always finishes his bowl. I will also note that Snoop has had to eat rice or cottage cheese due to an upset stomach and I add the dose to the those meals as well without any issue or extra duration to his upset stomach.Overall I am please that I can subscribe and save this item for less that 1/3 of the vet’s price and my puppy is happier and healthier for it! FIVE STARS!Also I should mention that the bottle some with simple to read and interpret dose by dog’s weight instructions and the packaging was as expected. My handsome Snoop is now shines!

If you're getting Omega 3's, get snip tips
The non-snip tips are a bear to use. My little dogs won't eat them, so I have to pierce them and squirt the oil onto bread or their dog food. Which means it goes all over. The snip tips don't do that - MUCH easier to use!!

Strong smell but worth it
I have five dogs and two of them constantly scratch and chew themselves. Since giving them these supplements for the past week, they are scratching less and their coats are looking shinier already. These are easy to use, just snip off the end and squeeze over their food. For my Chihuahuas, I only give one capsule every other day. (according to the directions) The smell is strong but only one of my dogs turns her nose up and refuses to eat it.

Great for Cat - Half Dosage Methods
My cat tore her ACL and, per the orthopedic veterinarian, I give half a capsule to her each day in combination with consequin for cats. She loves food and doesn’t mind this oil being mixed with her food. The combination has worked wonders! She was able to avoid surgery and her injury is unnoticeable. The use of extra medications/pain meds is super rare (once in 6 months). If you don’t give a full capsule at a time, consider using a needle syringe to extract the oil and provide an accurate dosage. When my cat was at the regular vet for an extended stay procedure they used this method. Prior, I cut the top off the capsule, used half, then put the open capsule upright in a shot glass until the next day.

Vet Recommended
My vet carries and recommends only this Elanco Snip Tip brand. He explained that a great deal of the fish oils on the market for pets have not been through much quality testing, trials, etc. He trusts this brand so this is the brand we use. Not a bad price at all, especially if you have one small dog like I do.

Taking a Shine
I used these because my Chihuahua, Annabelle (RIP my precious girl), had somewhat of a dry coat, which prompted more scratching than a dog mama would want to see. I snipped one, held it out to her, and she gobbled it up without a problem. I noticed her coat was moisturized and rich looking within a week. She no longer scratched, and became a little more content than she had been. I would be too if my skin was dry and scratchy. I think the price was reasonable, and if any other dog I have exhibits the same symptoms, I will be turning to these again.

Vet recommended
Our Mini Aussie is getting old and the vet recommended these to aid his diet and help his older hair condition. His coat has improved and he seems to be doing well with this addition to his diet. The vet even noticed the difference
