Do Not buy for replacement of mercury pump # 881705T1
I do not recommend buying this for the replacement of pump # 881705T1 Mercury , the polarity is reversed so it is not a plug n play product, the size in length is to long so it does not have a factory fit and the most important is that it does NOT supply enough fuel pressure. I have tried 2 of these pumps and both had the same issues on both and have returned both of them.

Not a direct replacement.
NOT a direct replacement! Installed the pump and engine would not run.Worked on engine for three days only to find out the low fuel pressure was due to reversed pos and neg leads on pump. A simple description with the product to advise this would have made this lesser expensive pump worth using.I removed the pins and switched the pos and negative leads and the engine ran but wasn't worth the savings.

Bad fuel pump
This pump will not pump enough pressure for a 225 opti max mercury. 80 psi. You need at least 90 psi

Not good for outboard engines
I tried this pump on a mercury Optimax. The optimax would not even start. Mercury engines require at least 80 Psi of gas and this pump even though it looks great and of good quality it does not have enough pressure for these engines.
