i purchased this as a Christmas gift for good friends. We happened to be together today when he mentioned the fact that the light in the globe was not working. He was unable to find a replacement. I was embaressed by this since he has only been using the globe a short time, less then a month, they moved and did not put it up right away. He said he went to a battery store to find out about them (tbe battery type is not included in the description, but the seller did answer someones question with the correct type.) Our friend was told that they did not have any in house but he would order one that might work, not exactly the same, but also very expensive!!! I spent a lot of time tonight looking to find the battery, I was going to purchase it for them, but I could not find the number that was provided. I attempted to contact seller and my email would not let me into their site. Something to think about when purchasing any of these!!!

The glass ball itself is gorgeous but it came totally sealed with expanded polystyrene foam packaging pieces trapped inside the ball that are visible through the glass and tacky. These foam pieces are also impeding the ability of the light to charge as well as be visible from all angles at night. When I notified the seller of the foam issue, they told me to send it back and apply for a refund. As I waited for a long time to receive this ball and really wanted to enjoy it in my garden in the short summer months of Maine, I kept it. But...after just a couple of months, the solar light died. The bottom is glued shut so I can't replace the light or remove the foam without breaking the glass. So now it's a nice glass ball with ugly, visible packaging trapped inside and no light at night. This product is not worth the cost. For folks who care about the planet like me, the ball also comes with a plastic string tied around the glass loop for hanging, rather than an eco-friendly/natural string or wire.

I THOUGHT THIS BALL WOULD LIGHT UP BEAUTIFULLY, BUT IT DOES NOT. THERE'S A SLIGHT COLOR TO IT AFTER BEING IN THE SUN FOR DAYS. ALL I CAN REALLY SEE IS A TINY LIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF BALL??? WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN.

I have purchased (3) of these artisan craft glass balls. They are beautiful in every way - the colors are amazing.We have hung them in a tree in our front garden - they look amazing. Lots of compliments from neighbors' and friends. A beautiful touch to any garden, or room in your home.

Design is beautiful! Very thick, strong glass. The solar light is not bright enough but the area gets a lot of shade and the glass colors are quite dark, so the light might be stronger in a sunny location. I am hopeful that it will last for years!

These, I hang in my favorite cypress tree that I can see from my French doors. If hung in the sun, they will glow at night and it's just gorgeous! I've also gifted one for my sister this past Christmas and she adores hers as well. GORGEOUS!

I love these balls.. yet, they are fairly expensive and fragile. So.. Just be careful with them outside. Hang them securely. In the evening they add a pretty hue to our sitting area on our patio. Have had ours out since August this year! Still up and running! I do recommend them if you are looking to add some soft beauty. Note: Strength of light, ambient.

I would have purchased this even without the solar light, however, if I really wanted the solar light feature then I would be very disappointed because the light, which was very dim, only lasted about a week. If you want the globe to be lighted at night then you might want to rethink purchasing this.
