I love the original Shinkenger "Daikai Shinken Oh", the combination of Shinkenoh (Samurai Megazord) and Daikaioh (Clawzord) and the Samurai Megazords seem to be a suitable replacement for the costly Sentai mecha. The Clawzord itself came in pieces out-of-the-box. But, if you know what you're doing, it shouldn't be a problem. When he's in Lobster mode, he is a beauty. Maybe even as good looking as its Shinkenger counterpart. My only gripe is the blue paint on his Lobster claws. The original Shinkenger toy has Orange paint. It's not horrible, just a minor gripe at Bandai for painting it *that* color. I mean, with the rest of the blue on the toy, I *guess* it fits, just not for the on-screen model. Once he's in Megazord mode, he has a load of play value. The "turning wheel" feature was something I could have never expected that Bandai would bring over to the Samurai Toyline. In the original Shinkenger, the different faces stand for "North, South, East, and West", based on old Japanese folklore. Why they decided to bring that over is beyond me, but Clawzord does obtain all four of these modes, and kids will love that. The fourth mode requires the Octozord, which is why I bought Octozord with my order. (Also I needed him for a complete set)Now for the combination between the Samurai Megazord and the Clawzord. I have not owned a combining Megazord since... around the Wild Force era, and that was only limb-swapping! This is a full-on combination, bringing together the Lion, Dragon, Bear, Turtle, Monkey/Ape (whatever Bandai calls it) and the Clawzord into the... well, the box doesn't really say what this combination is called. It just says "Collect and combine to create the ultimate Megazord!". And the episode of the series where this combination appears hasn't aired.... So, I guess we'll call it "Samurai Ultrazord" for now. It stands at around 15 inches tall, which is an average size for a combination of two Megazords. He looks *fantastic*. The legs (Bear and Dragon) look pretty scrawny, but that's only apparent when the legs are next to the skinny Lobster legs. It stands fine on its own, just from looking head-on, you can definitely tell.Overall, this is a great toy, it's well put together on its own (Excluding the Samurai Megazord and Octozord) but the whole gimmick of Megazords is to combine them, and since most kids have the Samurai Megazord already, they will definitely want the Clawzord as well. I whole-heartedly recommend this toy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well worth the smiles and endless hours of play *by J***N on August 20, 2012* I purchased this for my younger son (3.5 years old) after I made the mistake of buying just ONE Power Rangers toy (the Samurai Megazord) and expecting my two sons to share it. Hah!I chose the Clawzord because it can combine with the Megazord to form some kind of uber zord. The toy comes with directions on how to make the transformation, but we've only done it once. In my household, taking two toys and combining it into just one toy demonstrates poor math skills (after all, it's apparently ridiculous to expect two boys to share one toy) and a general lack of common sense.The toys are very durable and have survived being taken everywhere. The Clawzord is seemingly harder to transform than the Megazord. The 3.5 year old will transform the Megazord to and from its five separate animal forms with no additional adult assistance, but seems to get stuck on the Clawzord. The 5.5 year old though is succeeding just fine.I've enjoyed having the Clawzord and Megazord around. They are so much easier to transform than say, Optimus Prime or Megatron (neither of which I've figured out,) and consequently, good for my ego because I can actually help my sons with it. I heartily recommend this toy. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It's kind of clunky *by H***A on January 31, 2012* My 4 year old son LOVES Power Rangers and really wanted the Clawzord and after reading so many favorable reviews I went with the Clawzord over the Samurai Megazord and now I am wondering if I made the right decision. It's a great size to go with the 4 inch rangers in keeping with the show but it is very clunky and doesn't move very well. My son doesn't really change it to the claw form which I find unusual for him. Also a big fuss was made about how it attaches to other pieces and all that I can say on that is that we also bought the gold ranger with the octozord and the connection there leaves you very wanting. One piece of the octozord attaches to clawzord's chest and the rest of the octozord is just held in his hand.
