VTechCS6709 Accessory Cordless Handset, Silver/Black | Requires VTech CS6719, CS6729, CS6829, or CS6859 Series Phone System to Operate

I have just bought this accessory phone to go with my regular "base" phone V-Tech CS6719. The instructions need to be clearer -- they do not specifically say to register the phone by placing it in the BASE charger, and NOT in the accessory charger. I struggled with this for a while until I finally went to the V-Tech website and found that instruction! Then it worked quickly and beautifully and I am now just leaving it alone for the 11 hours so the battery can charge as it should.I'm also hoping that my sleep apnea C-pap machine, which has an electronic feature enabling my doctor's office to make direct contact, will not interfere with the new phone placed next to it, as it may have contributed to the recent failure of my old Uniden cordless phone placed in the same position. But I have no other place to put it. Does anyone else have any phone interference from C-pap electronics?

This phone is great and works well with my Vtech 6829 system. I was a bit concerned that it didn't register with the base unit immediately but it just took more time than I thought it would. I left it charging for 6 or 7 hrs, I'd forgotten about it actually, and when I tried it again it registered instantly as unit #3. It has all the features I wanted and seems to work well with the system. The sound is clear and I think with the ringer full up it is very loud so I dial it back a bit and it's fine with me. A great phone, my 1st Vtech phone. I'm impressed with the quality.

I bought the phone (set of 3) to replace older phones that were having problems. The Vtech phones were very easy to set up, and the sound quality is much improved (never had a volume control before). Only downside is that the phone does not display voicemail messages from my VOIP provider, so I periodically have to check for messages.

I bought the the set that extended to 2, but found that I needed a third in the office. I don't just like having a cell phone. This is mostly a telemarketer catcher. It was a little difficult to get it to register on the base. You really need to charge it overnight, it took three tries to register it on the original main base. Nothing to it really. Just wait for a second, it says registering. And then it beeps and says registered.First 2 times it said it failed--so try, try again. Your saved numbers are there. You might have to get your ringers and hearing tone. set up. Made my life easier instead of running to another room to see who is calling.

I bought this as a third handset, It would not register. I didn't get a response from from the seller either. I'm so angry and frustrated that I'm disposing this unit. I'd also replace my two working handsets and base with a Panasonic , which registered in seconds. Much happier with the Panasonic model.

Great price. Very easy to read the screen and relatively large buttons. Very good tone quality. Like the light up screen and keys which adds to the readability. Also very easy to set up - just charge it and plug it into the home base for a few seconds to register it and it's ready to go. Would easily recommend it to any one needing extra handsets for this system.

Very easy to set up and use, but I discovered after purchase that there isn't a jack for plugging in my hands-free headset. I should've checked more closely before buying, but wasn't expecting that. I was planning on taking work calls on this phone but am back to using my cellphone for this reason, making my purchase pointless.

This phone was a replacement for our 2nd handset and after charging there was no dial tone. I called the number included with the phone and the gentlemen led me to through the process and it works just fine.

Esta muy bueno solo que pensé que era LÍNEA directa pero es una extensión, compré otro con la base después y se sincronizan muy fácil entre sí y funcionan muy bien.

Exelente lo recomiendo, cometi un error al pedirlo pensando que era el telefono principal y no era asi era el segundo.

Fácil de sincronizar con el teléfono principal, me agrada que puedes comunicarte con los otros aparatos internamente, hasta ahora todo bien, se escucha bien normal y usando el altavoz
