Turner acrylic gouache 24 colors set school (japan import) by Turner color

I’ve read reviews complaining about these paints arriving in bad condition. Mine all arrived in good condition and came out of the tubes smooth and silky. The instructions are in Japanese, but having already googled about, I knew to dilute them 2:1 with water. That is the consistency for full opaque coverage that moves easily with the brush. The white is another matter; it is only opaque at full consistency. I will stick to my white ink for full opacity in white. This small tube will be useful for mixing colors.I made a portrait and was able to glaze several layers of transparent glaze on top of an opaque layer, which was very useful for blending. It has a slightly chalky feel to the touch when dry, but it doesn’t look chalky, just matte. The colors are vibrant and a very small quantity goes a very long way. Another complaint that people have is the tube sizes, but it makes sense that they’re small given that they’re meant to be diluted.These are not the very top of the line, but they outperformed my other two mid-range sets by leaps and bounds. I will update my review if I have any trouble with the paint quality after some time passes and I’ve been storing them carefully to prevent drying out.

I am printmaker anda drawer, but during quarintine I picked up painting to try and pick myself out of a depression based art block. I am far from the best painter but the basic beginner kits were a bit too flimsy in quality for me. Several of my peers have had good things to say about this brand so I gave it a shot. I really enjoy the maliability of these paints, they can be applied as sheerly or as thickly as you want- its the perfect in between watercolor and acrylic painting and lets me take the traits I loved from those as I slowly build up the painting.Again I am not a very good painter and my hand is very untrained in this regard but the painting Im providing is made from only 100% this set so hopefully that can provide a good idea of how these paint. these are also matte but i've been told you can mix them with both watercolor and regular acrylic paints and acrylic mediums!Also if you wanna follow me on instagram you can follow me at @house.sparrow.art

I got a recommendation from a local artist to try this gouache and my goodness it is so nice and so wonderful for the price!! the color range is really good and just AAA i cannot rave about these enough!I would say for a beginner wanting to get into gouache this may not be the one for you as these do dry quick! if you are a beginner looking for gouache try watercolor gouache, you can activate it for longer and it is lower stress! BUT if you are looking for an acrylic gouache trust me, they're good!

Wish it had more coverage but good overall. This pic is a mix of guoache, this acrylic guoache and color pencils. I felt like I had to add pencil to my drawing bc the coverage wasn’t perfect.

Goes well with the special set I ordered. Good paint.

Great quality and value. Good set of colors.

I wanted to try something new and these paints are fun to work with. They are nice and creamy and blend well. I’m no expert but I really like them.

This paint is amazing. Would highly recommend!
