MRS. MEYER'S CLEAN DAYMoisturizing Hand Balm, Made with Essential Oils, Travel Size, Basil, 3 oz

I'm obsessed with all Mrs. Meyers lavender scented products, and this is no exception! It's thick, but spreads nicely, so you only need a little bit, and dries to a non-greasy finish. It smells AMAZING, as do all the products in this scent, and as it dries, is very subtle but doesn't disappear. This small tube goes a long way.

This is EXTREMELY thick, and coats your hands in a way that feels heavy. Now, if you have super severe dry hands that may sound wonderful, but the fragrance in the product would make it a BAD choice for damaged/cracked skin, so despite the opportunity for super hydration it can only be used when only light to moderate hydration is needed. Everyone is different, but personally I felt like the product didn’t absorb but merely sat on top of my skin. As a protective layer against the drying of extreme wind, it may not be too bad, but it did not moisturize my hands to the point it justified the very heavy and thick nature of the product. 10mins after application I would still need to wipe my palms downs because of the balm still sitting on top of the skin. For some ppl, this is not only what they need, but what their skin responds positively to. I will bring up the fact that the high amount of essential oils (including citrus ones) and fragrance destroy any initial benefits the Shea and other moisturizing factors may provide. Long term use of citrus oils on the skin will lead to long term skin damage, including increased photosensitivity so buyer beware.

As a complete Mrs. Meyers lavender fan, and as I use the all-purpose cleaner and the dish soap, I thought the hand balm would be a slam-dunk. But after I rubbed a small amount into my wrists, I could detect something other than lavender that was not pleasant at all. I awoke in the middle of the night with a headache and had to get up and wash the stuff off. Once in a blue moon I’ll run into whatever the additive is in other lotions, and YUCK. Sorry Mrs. Meyers, your lavender hand balm is a no-go for this girl!

Love all of Mrs Meyer’a cleaning & household products. But had no idea lotions & hand creams were part of her collection. I ordered the hand balm completely on my experience with other products. I was not disappointed! Wonderful cream. Fragrance perfect. So glad I found this!

The lotion smells amazing - only one problem - the sealed end must have popped open during delivery and leaked all over the entire contents of my order. So, when it arrived there was lotion all over everything in the mailer. Amazon was super helpful with resolving the issue.

Reviews are generally accurate. Scent is strong & a bit soap like. I like it and I am particular about scent. We all have our preferences, it’s not going to be for everyone. Hydrates & absorbs well, no greasy residue. I purchased because it’s more oz/$ than Burt’s or L’occitane, and I figured it’d be better quality & scent than Gold Bond, which it is.If you really want the best and don’t care about price, I recommend Kiehl’s Ultimate Hand Salve. It’s a eucalyptus scent because it contains eucalyptus oil, and it’s not commonly available on Amazon. Kiehl’s makes other scents but from what I’ve been told they’re not as thick.

I guess everyone has their preference when it comes to scent, but this lotion smells amazing to me! It reminds me a bit of breakfast blueberry muffins or something (bright and nostalgic somehow). I was pleasantly surprised how well it moisturized too. I needed something ASAP since my hands recently became really flakey and dry. It has a really nice texture and is not sticky. Due to Gold Bond hand cream having parabens in it I decided I'd try a different hand cream and I'm really glad I went with this one.

Great product but, I feel as though it was a bit on the more expensive side. Smells great and does a good job as a hand moisturizer.
